I was going to ask in /biz, but I figured this would be the best place to ask since this is where programmers hang. I want to use charts like TradingView's light and dev licensed charts, but I don't want to pay for a license. I have thousands of dollars I can use for AI credits to whip something up. Has anyone tried doing something like this before? I want to be able to add my own custom javascript/typescript indicators, pull from historical data for past months, years, etc. Is there anything open source like this that will allow you to build on it for your own personal use with no license? What would be the best approach to re-create something like this? HTML5? SVG? WEBGL?
>>109953888I made my own candlechart for my company.I recommend to use d3. It's free and you can build anything you want with it.d3 is basically a library that simplifies the logic behind charts, but you still have to build the charts entirely yourself, so they're entirely custom.>I have thousands of dollars I can use for AI credits to whip something upJust ask Claude "I want to make a custom candlestick chart with d3. Ask me about all the details and my preferences you want to know" and it'll probably be self-explanatory.
