Did you guys read the statement by reddit? it basically said something about the end of the open internet and they're killing RSS and old reddit. you WILL need an account and digital ID to access any web page in the future. death to all smartphone users.
>>109954081oh no i cant read reddit comments anymore. what am i gonna do? anything useful on there has already been stolen by openai and anthropic and LIBERATED by the chinese ai labs. literally wgaf
>>109954081got a link the statement? i knew they required an acoount to access old reddit. I didnt know they put out a statement and said they were trying to kill RSS tooAs of a couple days ago at least though, its still possible to make an account with a throwaway email from tor
>>109954091fpbp /threadAlso the hat doesn't land on his head which is supremely disappointing.
>>109954091cope retard the internet is owned by the Chinese and jews
>>109954121what does "fpbp" mean?
>>109954081That's okay, I'll continue to just not use reddit
>>109954133It is short for fippy bippy
>>109954081That is the plan, silly boy. You will either comply, or die.
>>109954133we say fippy bippy in the chans but it means fart butt, the p is for period, .

>>109954081Recently my government just demanded reddit to basically have a "franchise" here and now I've been seeing 20 day old posts for no reason. I'm also sure they've started to heavily monitor anyone who tries to expose politicians here. Fml.
>>109954081People will just not use redditDo these retards not realize that not using their service is easier than using it? They can't un-AI their search results.
>>109954133it's short for fippy bippy
Not my problem. I use an extension to redirect most of my traffic to alternate front-ends/backends.
>>109954081i'm starting to see the signs of the open internet dying. google's bot filter is getting more finnicky and thinks my mom is a bot because she googles stuff 24/7. i think google's days as a service on the open internet are numbered. i don't think anything will survive. i shudder to think where most posts on 4chan originate from anymore.
Most old reddit users are aging millennials who don't contribute to the site like zoomers and soon to be adult gen alpha who are mobile app native. Even Wikipedia dropped their original skin from Mediawiki and Windows 8+ dropped the Windows 95 theme too. Old reddit will eventually be removed entirely even from grandfathered accounts, they will forwardport just enough features to make mods happy and then kill it. All those people who said they will stop using Reddit will crawl back otherwise we'd all be on Lemmy by now. Remember that Voat and Ruqqus already died trying to replace Reddit.Google broke for legacy operating systems a year ago now and the word didn't end. Plus I already got used to the new Firefox skin too.
>>109954081I encourage everyone to get digital books, games, and porn and store it locally on M-DISC BD-R. They hold about 25gb each and will easily outlive you if you store it properly. The way things are going the internet is going to be compartmentalized a lot smaller than it currently is, and ISPs will directly fuck with your ability to access data outside of approved sources.

>>109954081Dude the other day I was trying to troubleshoot a dying piece of hardware and when I told the nice AI agent that it was not an overheating problem as it was running at about 45C under full load I was told that was wrong and being misreported because the users on redditard say their machines on full load report 60C. How is it my fault that redditards fry their PCs?!What I'm trying to say is, can we just delete reddit please? Even when actively trying to avoid any interaction with redditors I still have to put up with their bullshit.
