There are M.2 PCIe cards if you need more M.2 slots.
This is better than buying a new board if yours have the extra x16 PCIe slot.

AM5 boards are also pretty affordable in many regions.

this thing released like a few weeks ago and is only available on their site so I doubt it. Just seems to a cheaper alternative to the wireview pro 2 as it's not one long cable but an intermediate device technically adding another point of failure.

Why would you get a 9070XT if you're spending on a 9800X3D?
You'd be better off diverting some of that money towards a 5070Ti.
That's before we even get to skimping down to 16GB of RAM.
>>
>>109955227
The 5070 ti is 300 dollars more tho.

And I'm waiting for ram prices to drop, I'll get 128 gigs by then
>>
>>109955227
9800x3d+9070xt is still less than a 5070ti, both gpus are a stopgap anyway till rdna5/rubin you are getting cucked either way.

In gaming performance you'll see more improvements spending $300 on a GPU than anything else.

But, also if you're going for an X3D CPU, stumping for faster memory that's only 16GB is a weird choice.

X3D sees minimal to no difference between 5600-6400MT/s, so why spend more on what's already a budget compromise, and you say you're going to replace anyway?

>I'll wait till the ram shortage will end, I'm assuming by mid 2027 , and you think I'm Rich enough for an Nvidia GPU? Lmao
None of this is going to end. We've (ai bros) have been saying this for years. Ram and gpu prices will continue to rise for the next decade at a rate equal to their performance. The best you can do is save up now and hope that more consumer gpus and ram hit the market to keep prices "stable" otherwise they are about to rise substantially. The current and future output isn't enough to ever bring down prices for the foreseeable future (until around 2030). What's going on right now is monumentally worse than covid and crypto mining combined. Computing has never really seen this happen. This goes far beyond the dotcom bubble. Nvidia has the same accountants that handled tech stocks during that bubble and they only believe that they've gotten better at keeping the gravy train running.
>>
>>109955393
95% of the gpu doesn't do any of the rt work btw. for it to not be a meme you'd have to have more goytracing cores.

I bought the Corsair ThermalProtect cable.
Its got a basic over temperature sensor that will shut off the card if a wire temperature exceeds 65ยฐC.
It's not per-pin current monitoring, but it will prevent the GPU end of the cable & connector melting from high temperatures.
This is better than generic 12V-2x6 cables without any protection.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQSeiZ8S9hw

Given the Nitro+ RX 9070 XT's power connector placement, you'll want to pre-bend the GPU side of the cable.
You need to leave about 20~30 mm of straight clearance before bending it sideways (have to be careful with sideways bend).
http://www.jongerow.com/12VHPWR/index.html

>It doesn't protect the PSU side!
Fully seat the PSU connector with zero gap, and leave enough slack so the first 30~40mm of the cable stays straight
Pull the PSU out of the PC and fully plug in the 12V-2x6 cable before mounting it back in the case if you need to. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

Der8auer mentioned in a recent video that most people having current imbalance issues with their WireView Pro II fixed it by sorting out their cable setup or replacing them.

I feel like the 3080Ti or something is a pretty nice sweet spot. They're cheap on the used market and they're capable at raster and RT. But, you're not going to be able to mess around with DLSS5 or PT, but these technologies aren't quite there yet anyway.

nowadays are you supposed to invest a bit more on the cpu because newer aaa games need dlss quality to run well which means your cpu will be doing a bit more heavy lifting or did it get it wrong? this is implying that you don't have a 5070ti and above

Obviously it depends on the game. And I'm not talking about Pathtracing or anything.

Usually it's a choice between
>RT ultra with DLSS
>RT high at Native
And there are times when ultra with DLSS looks better and others when Native looks better.

But, generally my opinion is that if I can't notice the difference between RT ultra and RT high, but I lose like half my FPS, it's not really worthwhile, even if I'm already at 60+.

Realistically you arent going to upgrade gpu till rtx 7000 (if it even exists lol) and considering rtx 6000 is not coming till 2028, you can assume rtx 7000 wont be out till 2030/31 at the earliest. At that point it would be better to do a full system upgrade to Zen7/DDR6.

All expensive GPUs are a meme if you don't need them, especially now that we are getting cucked by world happening. Most gam3rs are brain damaged by FOMO which makes them buy more than what they actually need.

The actual smart choice right now is to compare platform for future upgrading, and enjoy the lower prices on certain categories, and then just wait for GPUs and other parts to get back to normal prices.

The main things that you should drive is the capabilities of Nvidia GPUs because they have a lot of niche uses, are just generally more powerful. Whether you want go support open source and be on Linux (AMD). If using certain tech like ray tracing is important (nvidia). Ignoring those things, it's mostly just pricing and futureproofing ( if thats relevant).

I have a question. I got an rtx 5070ti in my PC and want to upgrade my monitor. >>109960171
OLED VRR flicker is a real issue.
Your PC needs to be able to render consistent frametime to minimize the flicker in certain scenes.
You also need to set up VRR properly (set maximum fps below monitor refresh rate, refer to NVIDIA Reflex fps cap formula).
You will see flicker in some game menus and loading screens.

>>109960321
Do a lot of research about miniLED monitors before you commit to a purchase.
The value miniLED monitors usually donโ€™t provide display firmware updates (what you see is what youโ€™ll get).
Itโ€™s better to stick to 1440p monitors if youโ€™re concerned about 4K performance.
Or use 4K DLSS Super Resolution @ performance mode.
