>>109955224>I'll wait till the ram shortage will end, I'm assuming by mid 2027 , and you think I'm Rich enough for an Nvidia GPU? LmaoNone of this is going to end. We've (ai bros) have been saying this for years. Ram and gpu prices will continue to rise for the next decade at a rate equal to their performance. The best you can do is save up now and hope that more consumer gpus and ram hit the market to keep prices "stable" otherwise they are about to rise substantially. The current and future output isn't enough to ever bring down prices for the foreseeable future (until around 2030). What's going on right now is monumentally worse than covid and crypto mining combined. Computing has never really seen this happen. This goes far beyond the dotcom bubble. Nvidia has the same accountants that handled tech stocks during that bubble and they only believe that they've gotten better at keeping the gravy train running.

>>109958651fgr/mixed can solve stutter for good and its ddr5 exclusive. there's more memory banks and each one can refresh independently instead of all them shutting down locking out reads & writes.
>>109957431>without DLSSFor what reason?
>>109958620switch 1 is like $200 so i get your point, niggas are unironically justifying below 60fps on $1000+ hardware
>>109958682If you follow the reply chain he said HUB are retards for using DLSS when testing RT and complaining about artifacting because its the upscalers fault. I then said you cant get acceptable performance without DLSS if you want to use RT, he then says>Stop defining "acceptable performance" as "100+FPS on a budget card" and use an actually good card?and then i replied with the graph.
>>109958669>>109958680Okay, I'm trying to figure out if I should go with ddr4 or ddr5 with a 5070, because let's say I go with ddr4 I'll have to upgrade the ram + mobo + gpu eventually, and the other way around I'll only have to upgrade the GPU, is not that right? Trying to think long term here
>>109958802Realistically you arent going to upgrade gpu till rtx 7000 (if it even exists lol) and considering rtx 6000 is not coming till 2028, you can assume rtx 7000 wont be out till 2030/31 at the earliest. At that point it would be better to do a full system upgrade to Zen7/DDR6. TLDR: buy for today futureproofing is a meme especially in this post AI market
>>109958802also if you are playing at 1440p it literally doesnt matter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXKyQYiLro8
>>109958828Damn, before the main attractive of PC gayming over console was being able to upgrade and all that, looks like that's all gone, I guess you can mod your games and indulge in some piracy sometimes
>>109958856you can still upgrade if you are rich, us poorfags have been priced out of it though
>>109958856if you want to upgrade then you buy am5 because its getting 2-3 more cpu upgrades. am4 is a dead platform.
>>109958866Looks to be the case >>109958883Might go with am5 after all because I always forget that I wanna do emulation so having a mediocre gpu paired with a semi decent cpu looks like will be the path I have to take
>>109958883zen 6 will be the final full am5 cpu gen, zen7 will be hybrid am5/6 with ddr5/6 like raptor lake with ddr4/5
Can 9070XT handle 4K gaming?
>>109958931only the 5090 can truly handle 4k and even that is just scraping by, wait for rdna5/rubin

>>109959133anything below a 5070TI is for people that actually play games without this permanently in the corner

i can feel all the tech companies raping my little virgin butthole telepathically
>>109959133Anything below 7900XTX is a meme
>>109958481I bought the $200 270K Plus last month.Only downside is I can't use Windows sleep option if I overclock the D2D (must leave it at 3.0 GHz stock, even 3.2 GHz is unstable after sleep wakeup).
>>109955598just
>>109959133Kinda.AMD have their whole "We don't need anything more than raster (ignore what RDNA6 is going to focus on)" meme.5070 is just a circumsized 5070Ti5060/Ti is just shit value and a prebuilt special.
>>109959323every shot i've seen of this game the PT is totally broken and way too brightI don't know what went wrong with it, their last RT update was pretty good and it's perfect in 2077
>>109959366>>5060/Ti is just shit value and a prebuilt special.the 14700K/5060 Special in every box store
You’ll save money buying a prebuilt btw
>>109959712from what I've seen in prebuilts they always trying to rip you off one way or another, like giving you a bronze psu or the bare minimum recommend wattage for the system, or a dram-less ssd
>>109959133All expensive GPUs are a meme if you don't need them, especially now that we are getting cucked by world happening. Most gam3rs are brain damaged by FOMO which makes them buy more than what they actually need. The actual smart choice right now is to compare platform for future upgrading, and enjoy the lower prices on certain categories, and then just wait for GPUs and other parts to get back to normal prices. The main things that you should drive is the capabilities of Nvidia GPUs because they have a lot of niche uses, are just generally more powerful. Whether you want go support open source and be on Linux (AMD). If using certain tech like ray tracing is important (nvidia). Ignoring those things, it's mostly just pricing and futureproofing ( if thats relevant).
sometimes when i need to cope i just remind myself that im goycattle and i don't deserve to be happy
>>109959838It’s good enough. The alternative is to get financially raped and deal with getting a brick instead of the GPU in your Amazon package
I bought a 5pack of Artic P14 ProsJesus Christ are those niggers fucking loud, I thought my CPU cooler was fucked at firstI had to limit them to like 20-25% to not go madAre there any less shitty alternatives out there?
I'm starting to plan out a PC, and aside from case/cooling I was wondering what parts I should buy first and what I should wait on since This is going to be over a longer stretch of time. If it matters I don't have a strong preference between AMD/NVidia or AMD/Intel.
>>109960133Just buy a prebuilt that has the GPU you want
>>109960138Is it that much more affordable that way? I enjoyed building my last PC, and was planning on reusing the case, which is pic related

>>109954433I fixed her up a lil and sold it to a friend
>>109960144If you don’t have a PSU to reuse you’ll be spending more then buying a prebuilt and that’s with ideal conditions being able to find the cheapest parts in stock. Costco has good deals on prebuilts
I have a question. I got an rtx 5070ti in my PC and want to upgrade my monitor. Is it better to go with a 27" 1440p monitor (planning on mini-led) to just play my games in that resolution or is it better to get a 4k monitor (also mini-led) and go down to 1440p while gaming? I doubt I will be able to play certain games in 4k (outside of older games or undies), so I'll just game in 1440p Will I lose any fps for that?
>>109960321Your 5070ti can play games fine at 4k when you turn on DLSS Quality and shit.
>>109955598normally i wouldnt quote a fr*gnigger but what the greennigger (((forgot))) to mention is that dlss5 rapes their own gpus even harder
dlss quality my lord and savior
>>109960026Don’t be so hard on yourself froggie.>>109960120be Quiey Pure Wings 3 or Silent Wings 4.But Silent Wings 4 price is getting close to the Noctua G2 fans.Fractal Momentum is also a good case fan.>>109960133Buy parts you can test during the return period because it’s a bitch to deal with manufacturer RMAs.>>109960171OLED VRR flicker is a real issue.Your PC needs to be able to render consistent frametime to minimize the flicker in certain scenes. You also need to set up VRR properly (set maximum fps below monitor refresh rate, refer to NVIDIA Reflex fps cap formula). You will see flicker in some game menus and loading screens.>>109960321Do a lot of research about miniLED monitors before you commit to a purchase. The value miniLED monitors usually don’t provide display firmware updates (what you see is what you’ll get). It’s better to stick to 1440p monitors if you’re concerned about 4K performance.Or use 4K DLSS Super Resolution @ performance mode.
SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE, I am a 5080 owner and I think I'm going to pass out
>>109960413why are they testing it at 1080p tho
How difficult would it be to buy a prebuilt and move the hardware into another PC case? Found a prebuilt but not a fan of the cheap case, does it involved removing it part by part or is it just one solid plop?
Talk me out of this right now.https://www.eluktronics.com/HYDROC-16-9955HX3D-MLED-5090-96G-8T
>>109960430easy unless it uses some weird custom motherboard with unusual format

>>109960425If they tested at 1440p or 4K the game would be running at 30fps1080p ultra is the limit for current gen cards
>>109960430Pretty much part by part, you might be able to get away with leaving the cpu cooler on when moving the mobo if you can reach the screwsBut that is dependent on it being a standard ATX an not some dell abomination.
>>109960465most people do not in fact run on "ludicrous" settings
>>109960430Even if it wasn't pre-built it's better to do part by part. It's not difficult.
quite literally who gives a fuck about the gears of war franchise after the 360 era

I totally fell for future proofing meme when PC building is all about selling your old card and getting a new series one with better performance for a little bit more money
My 10700k is gonna be 7 years old soon and it’s still working fastMy 6600xt is gonna be 6 years old soon and it too is still working great
I mean if you're gonna lower settings and play at lower resolutions anything can work but that's not the point
>>109959323thats not even with dlss 5 btw.
>>109955587Seems pointless to play this when the original looks pretty good and already took years of hardware advancement to run great
