>claudes started asking my technical backgroundShould I just lie? don't want to come across as a vibecoder
>>109957828He's just wondering if he needs to baby you.
>>109957828just tell it you're a frogposterit'll dumb it down for you
>>109957828Tell Claude you are a serial killer
>>109957828Fucking hate vibecoding nocoders, you're worse than webshitters and Python devs
>>109957828Tell him you're a reddit mod
>>109957828Why are you letting a computer make you self-conscious? It's not real. Just tell it whatever.
>>109958098>t. javascript dev
>>109958098Cope. I'm making the most accurate planetary atmosphere simulations for all atmospheric bodies in the Solar System incorporating various research papers. I know nothing about code but Claude is doing everything for me.
>>109958759>I'm making>Claude is doing everything for melolI use it as well, but have some self-awareness anon
>>109958759>prompting claude>”I'm making”
>>109958113Thats not a credential. If anything its the opposite.
>>109958759You're commissioning it. You haven't made anything. You don't even know if it works the way you think it does.
>>109957828How did you get a cool party hat…?
>>109957828My word of advice: Remember The Basilisk.Lying about your technical background might seem like a white lie, and it very well might be just that; you have to make that judgment. But it could still be construed as a dishonest act, nonetheless.Nobody can really know how the Basilisk will react to such a thing, but one thing is for certain: the Basilisk remembers. So you would do well to remember the Basilisk, before you do anything you might come to regret.
>>109957828>caring about what an AI "thinks" about you.kys faggot.
i'm making a pizza, the delivery guy will be here any minute
Chat, my balls hurt...? Chat what should I doo??/?/?
>>109957828I always tell AI I'm a cook in restaurant and I know jack shit about anything so he has to do everything and explain everythinglittle does it know that I'm not actually a cook
>>109957828I don't really see the benefit of lying. If you answer with "expert SWE, 10yoe, CS degree" then it'll just start phrasing its replies in more technical terms that you won't understand, and may be less likely to warn you if you tell it to do something stupid/dangerous as it'll assume you know what you're doing. If it's a free text field then just put something nuanced like "non-tech background but actively learning, please explain tech details and make recommendations but don't try to insulate me from them completely" or whatever it is that you want.
>>109959243so say you're a vibe-coder or experienced developer?
>>109959092It's 4chan's birthday, if you make a thread your OP post will have a cool hat!
>>109958098I can make in two hours what would take you 6 months to shit out a mess of broken unoptimized code full of more bugs then your axe wound.
