I haven't signed into YouTube for probably over a year now. I only really use it to listen to music and most of what I want to listen to is bookmarked or can be searched. uBlock takes cares of all ads.
I've used youtube exclusively logged out for the past about 7 years nowKinda regret it, wish I had a history of all the videos I watched in that time.
