I'm thinking about the Kids Act and the long-term crackdown of the internet. But actually, this perspective is wrong. Because the internet is already dead. And it wasn't killed by laws, but by AI. It's dead because we can no longer know who is human and who isn't. And it's precisely on imageboards that it's particularly difficult, if not impossible, to identify bots. That's why it would be absolutely no loss if all the small social platforms/forums were to disappear completely tomorrow. They're already dead. I've become aware here of that, because there is an extremely large number of "anons" who are sucking up to the super-rich, the Big Tech corporations and sloptubers. At first, I was surprised that there are so many system cucks on /g/. No. They're bots. Bots that were deployed to control the narrative. We have absolutely nothing left to lose because we've already lost everything. I believe that 4chan is by far the most artificial platform of all. And the insidious thing about the whole thing is that it simultaneously offers the best simulation of "authenticity." We're definitely no better than the Facebook boomers who fall for AI crap. Our AI crap is simply text-based.

>It's dead because we can no longer know who is human and who isn't.
Yes, I can. For example, I know that I'm reading LLM slop right now and I'm gonna stop reading now.
>>

Bots do unironically exist on 4chan but it seems mods delete them atleast when detected, although I guess bots have existed for a long time but I think they exist more to push the traffic rather than actually typing, I guess that's a reason why so many people can find other anons in different boards and basically recognise them, 4chan is way smaller than people realise
>Because the internet is already dead. And it wasn't killed by laws, but by AI.
The internet was already dying even before Ai, the time companies when really hard into internet was also the time when the downfall was starting, people were already seeing bots, internet became much more algorithmic so to push a certain view to a person, you were always being tracked because you started becoming the product for advertising companies but now with ai, that was accelerated 100x which is funny and sad because current llms/gen Ai only exist for barely 4 years, yet it's changing the world fast (although that's because they pour it on our throats and trillions on it)
I'm honestly starting to collect old medias such as games/movies/music and store before Ai overtooks anything because as much as we hate it Ai is gonna be on everything.
>I've become aware here of that, because there is an extremely large number of "anons" who are sucking up to the super-rich, the Big Tech corporations and sloptubers. You would be surprised but many people are actually system cucks although many are probably bots but still ton of people are unironically worshipping companies and many of them are unironically Indians there's a reason why when you call them out "pajeet" , they start get defensive and basically calling you racist and ect
But the biggest thing is that even though we raise our voice it won't matter because the majority of people don't care
>>
>>109974347
but it's not like they don't care due to them being pro ai, no that's not the thing, the thing is that most of them are just cattle and they'll consoom what's Infront of them that's the problem, the one aboves have won because they turned most of the population into cattle

Could this deter them better than other solutions? Infinity uses this and the traffic on their technology board is unusually low which makes me wonder if those are real anons there without many bots present.

>>
>>109974365
Dude are you the one that always talk about Umigalaxy and Infinity chan in threads, how much do they pay you bro
>>
>>109974365
I don't know, but what is even the point in deterring bots? They are modeled after the average internet user and they model him perfectly. If you're going to allow posting by random trash, you might as well open the gates to bots.
>>
>>109974385
No, I'm actually interested in making my own altchan since like half of 4chan users these days are clearly bots spamming the same shit over and over again.
>>
>>109974415
Because it gets really boring after a while. We know they're going to post the same frognigger/twitter screen shart/reddit post on loop and it will be groundhog day every day.
>>
>>109974432
>We know they're going to post the same frognigger/twitter screen shart/reddit post on loop and it will be groundhog day every day.
The same is true of the overwhelming majority of "genuine" 4chan posters circa Current Year. Either you run an exclusive, thoroughly moderated community where being uninteresting/unintelligent is a bannable offense, or you run a public toilet.
>>
>>109974460
No it isn't because it's human nature to get bored of the same thing. Take all the frognigger spam, yes some retards really do get a kick out of annoying others with it but for the most part it's bots going into infinite loops.
>>
>>109974481
>No it isn't because it's human nature to get bored of the same thing.
The how come you're not bored of all this?
>>
>>109974460
meh 4chan has always been mired in memefaggotry spammed ad nosium by bots and is the equivalent of graffiti in a public toilet stall, the days of loli guro spam are over thankfully
>>
>>109974496
I am, that's why I intend to make another altchan and why I'm so interested in POWBlock. I can't promise that I'll save you from the slop but I'm willing to try because I fucking hate it so much.

It's like that terminator quote "anger is more useful than despair".

>Because the internet is already dead. And it wasn't killed by laws, but by AI. It's dead because we can no longer know who is human and who isn't
I agree. It's far too late now. The damage is already done.
The greatest tragedy in all of this is, the vast majority of people will never know what they've already lost.

The way I see it, the goals of internet was a project to uplift all of mankind. Something akin a benevolent alien race visiting Earth and promising to share all their technology and knowledge to bring humanity into a new era of peace and prosperity. Except it wasn't aliens at all. It was done purely by human hands, human spirit, human ingenuity, and human intelligence. A grand repository of knowledge that all humans could have access to and share information with freely. The greatest library or repository of information that the human race has ever created, rivaling that of even the great library of Alexandria.

But now because of AI scraping that data, many sites shut down, or have tight restrictions to keep bot and people out. Meanwhile the data the AI do steal, is returned not for verbatim, but as summary, and sometimes with hallucinations added in. Thus the newest library of Alexandria is poisoned in a way that can never be undone, and the original sources of knowledge are being hidden and destroyed. AI may be the single greatest threat to humanity, not because it's going to go Skynet and kill everyone (although it may still do that) but rather the greatest damage is destroying humanities greatest asset. The sum collective knowledge that we've built over centuries and millennia. The ability to read and write and record accurate information is now called into question because of AI. It may not be apparent this very moment, but ask yourself how many times have you looked at something and asked "is this ai?" Imagine that with every book or piece of information you see, and this is the future that exponential hyper scaled AI could bring.

Alright, anon. Go ahead and make your own 4chan. But I think the internet is a failure and it's dying for a reason. I just want to go back to the pre-normie computing.
>>
>>109974607
Wow... Well said Anon, it's honestly really sad to see it being end up like that
>>
>>109974613
You clearly didn't finish reading my post anon.

ANGER IS MORE USEFUL THAN DESPAIR

Don't just lie down and take it up the ass. Get mad, get upset, enough to do something about it.

>The way I see it, the goals of internet was a project to uplift all of mankind. Something akin a benevolent alien race visiting Earth and promising to share all their technology and knowledge to bring humanity into a new era of peace and prosperity. Except it wasn't aliens at all.
Yeah. It was DARPA, the most benevolent, humanistic entity this world has ever known. They absolutely never intended to use all the information you generate to create an "AI" panopticon. They never expressed such aspirations or discussed this possibility. Or... like... if they did, it's a pure coincidence that that's exactly what ended up happening.
>>
>>109974607
oh please normalniggers and corpos have destroyed and chased anything good from the internet years ago. Like really think about it, they have supercomputers in their pockets and they use it to send nudes to each other and make cringey tiktoks, reduced most of the traffic to netflix and spotify and amazon shopping buying useless cheap chink junk that gives them lead poisoning, rewatching friends or whatever payed off reviewers shill to them and listening to mumble rap or whatever nostalgia shit that they liked when they were growing up over and over again. The whole betterment for humanity went down the drain the moment social media tore off the illusion that people are inherently good, when in reality they're mean and hateful to anything that doesn't confront to their retarded standards. They never grew out of high school mentality.

>do something about it.
I think it takes a nucleus of people who hang out together and know each other on a more personal basis than random users on a dead website to seed an organic community. And it needs to be ABOUT something (at least initially), not just a reaction against something or a replacement for something. And if you want it to develop an actual culture, instead of rapidly converging on the lowest common denominator of various dead platforms, you need it to grow slowly by word of mouth. Does that sound like something I can just "do"? I don't even interact with anyone on the internet except anons.
>>
the internet was never alive, because it always was an institution, and those are protocols maintained by human sacrifice

>>109974420
the worst ones are the ones constantly talking about how their altchan will fix everything, as if chans aren't the problem that caused excessive regulation on the internet in the first place due to effective grasroots campaigning
>>
>>109974265
>It's dead because we can no longer know who is human and who isn't.
Thank god we'll all have biometric Digital ID marks by then, to identify us and let us participate in the global financial system.
>>
>>109974791
>>109974826
All these snowflake altchans (including my own) aren't going to stop the end of the anonymous internet unless the fourth reich happens and judging by the ADF that seems unlikely but it can buy us time. Time we can use to figure out what we'll do when this cocksucking AI panopticon becomes a reality.

I guess the real problem is how we stick together and not just fragment into 100 different altchans. I don't know the solution though, I can't force you to stick around umigalaxy or infinity chan or X altchan.
>>
>>109974826
>as if chans aren't the problem that caused excessive regulation on the internet in the first place
timeline doesnt fit

>>109974912

Why would we stick together? What do we have in common besides being sick of 4chan and having some tech-related interests?

I do.

i think that not only you are wrong, but you are also a retarded
4chan is the last beacon of freedom in the internet
nowhere else i can advocate for the trans genocide, for the genocide in gaza, for the utter and complete destruction of Israel, for the genocide of islamists and niggers in the west, and see videos of indians dying in funny ways

It’s time to go back to Usenet. Zoomers are too retarded to know how to use newsgroups
