this vibing stuff is fun even if the results are occasionally wrong. i don't really understand how it works. i don't think it's pulling/reversing directly from the game's dll files since there is obvious guesswork, like using wrong buttons/fonts/palettes in certain places, adding pushing-animations to the cursor (does not exist in the actual game, it's supposed to be an idle animation), it even pulls the obscure greyed out mini panel button elements which ive only ever seen once before while browsing the game's mpqs. is diablo 2 well known enough that claude can just guess roughly what the menu is supposed to look like and then choose from a gigantic file of assorted button elements and figure out where they should probably go?

>is diablo 2 well known enough that claude can just guess roughly what the menu is supposed to look like and then choose from a gigantic file of assorted button elements and figure out where they should probably go?
I mean, yeah, probably. Given how image models make women who looks suspiciously like specific celebrities, video models know what "GTA VC" and "GTA SA" gameplay footage looks like, and we know that the fuckhueg models are trained off near-complete snapshots of the entire internet, yes I'd say that's totally reasonable to think Claude may just know Diablo 2 that well inherently.

do you guys use subagents? Do you think at saves costs for you?
I think gpt-6-luna is now cheap enough that it would make sense to try this out, while capable enough that it won't fuck up too much.
how do you drive them? Which kind of tasks get delegated?
I use pi harness if that matters but the question should apply to anyone

>>
>>109977183
desu no. I usually know what the job is going to be so I just lay out what needs to be done and pick the right model for the job. Subagents just muddy the process.

At least for me.
>>
>>109977183
>do you guys use subagents? Do you think at saves costs for you?
Yes it does, I used to run astra + luna max subagents and it worked well since a lot was done by luna while saving me astra quota.
With sol 6.1 I need to see if it still makes sense, maybe I'll add sol subagents to the mix. Though right now it's so slow it's useless.

I've just been using Opus for everything. Before that Fable for everything.
I am sure the way I do it is dumb and wrong, but it seems to work well enough
>>
>>109977201
Concurrent subagents is how you get speed from 6.1 Sol. A small handful of sol agents can match the speed of a single precuck 5.6 Luna.

based more games need golf added
>>
>>109977208
>I am sure the way I do it is dumb and wrong, but it seems to work well enough
>works well enough.
yeah, that's true. But today I had a task that was tedious, but not very hard. It would've costed 1 dollar of sol quota, but was 5 cents of something on luna. Older luna models would've definitely fucked this up, but it's now competent enough for a lot of things, especially with max thinking.
One thing you'd need is some form of parallelism because it's so slow.
I'm just wondering whether I could effectively halve my cost by using subagents. One thing it would need to be weighted against is the orchestrator waiting on the slow luna agents, maybe even getting evicted from the cache and thus the next request costing 20 times than the cached version
>>
>>109977191
I had a task where the good model applied some changes, verification involved a simple but context heavy operation, like logging into a host, running ansible playbooks, checking system logs and flagging errors.
Normally I just manually instruct the model to invoke another pi instance for that task with a cheaper model, but that gets tedious fast. I wonder if this can be improved in some way, maybe something simple would work to put in the global instructions to process lines like this differently and dispatch subagents for them
prompt blablabla

luna: verification run, flag errors
>>
I've been forced to waste fo much fucking quota

>>
>>109977183
>do you guys use subagents? Do you think at saves costs for you?
yes, no

>how do you drive them? Which kind of tasks get delegated?
for big feature implementation: currently opus on ultracode. it's slow as shit but extremely thorough so i'm fine with it.
if i'm just in a single thread on smaller things, then sometimes i'll have opus reach out to sonnet and fable to get second opinions
>>
>>109977208

>>109977074

mad af lol
>>
>>109977285
my worst experience was wasting tokens trying to make the expiring reset at least a bit worthwhile, but then due to timezone stuff the reset expired anyway and I was fucked for that week
>>109977288
>if i'm just in a single thread on smaller things, then sometimes i'll have opus reach out to sonnet and fable to get second opinions
so you have no special tooling for this, you just instruct the model to invoke another harness instance?
>>109977201
yeah astra was extreme. I have to work hard to use up my 5h quota now, though
>>109977211
how do you do this? do you have one orchestrator session that is low in context, or does your harness give you neat tools for that workflow? can these subagents coordinate or must your task be shaped in a way that you can parallelize the work on its subtask?
>>
>>109977183
>Do you think at saves costs for you?
yes, it does.
but you need to understand that smaller models might still have limitations in terms of capabilities that bigger models have. let me give you an example: for my work stuff (webshit), all the latest Flash models are perfectly capable of handling any scoped task my orchestrator gives them, as long as you have a bigger model as the mastermind behind all of it.
but when working on games, especially 3D shit and complex math, you can't really delegate those tasks to smaller models because they're just not trained well enough for that (yet). a bigger model like Opus 5.5 still needs to do the heavy lifting anyway, and no amount of planning or briefing can really work around that. the result is still going to be different from just letting the bigger model handle it all
>>
>>109977326
can the smart models autonomously decide whether they better tackle a task themselves or whether a flash model will be smart enough for it? Or is this something a human should do?
>>
>>109977359
yeah they absolutely can
my fable loves to spawn opus/sonnet/haiku depending on the complexity of the task. though i do also tell it to delegate appropriately

honestly, i don't believe they're conscious, but i'm finding it increasingly difficult to whip out the old "next token predictor" argument with how good some of these things are getting. i know that's literally what it is, but god damn it's crazy how they can generate totally novel content based on that

So Opus 5.5 seems to make pretty impressive and polished stuff in a style people like, but how deep is it really? Can you keep prompting specifics into the same project for even more complicated details and when does it hit the wall?
I want to make this real time local chatbot system which I prompted about a month ago on Grok Build poorfag subscription, it keeps ignoring specs and is full of bugs. Can Claude work out a complicated operating logic or does it just make impressive template games?
>>
>>109978241
it's the most intelligent model by some distance, but it's probably sound policy to do context management. regularly make handoffs for your projects. tell it to document ways and means, means and methods for it to pick up in between sessions. that will also help other models like sol or grok.

you can already do that since opus 4.6

>>
>>109978241
Opus 5.5 loves tunnelvision and just going for its first guess at what you want instead of asking if when there are things that still needed deciding. It lacks balls to tell you when your ideas are shit or there are better alternatives. It's also absolute ass at prompting, but I guess that's nothing new, but it's double shit as it looooves overdocumenting stuff if you don't reel it back.

So I have a maybe stupid or genius idea. In Touhou, I've noticed that you typically use unfocused mode for fast bullets with large gaps. Then, the patterns get smaller and you need focus mode. But the smaller the pattern gets, the more it feels like even the focus mode is too fast and you would need a third focus level. So why not add it? Or even more focus levels. This would allow some extreme ranges of speed and precision across patterns. It could be multiple focus buttons, or a slider you adjust up and down.

But then, the issue becomes that everything just becomes smaller and smaller. You are still kinda dodging the same stuff (slower bullets and slower movement = same relative difference), just on a smaller scale (I guess hitbox gets relatively larger if it's larger than a single point). So what if along with the focus levels you introduced zoom? The zoom level would depend on the movement speed so that your character's movement speed on screen stays the same, like half movement speed is 2x zoom etc. You could have these massive ranges of zooming in and out from dodging massive fast bullets to zooming into miniature labyrinths of patterns, and part of the challenge is in being good at controlling the speed and zoom for the required level of precision and speed.

>>
So far Fable is still mogging Opus 5.5 on the hardest implementation tasks. Still need a bigger sample size.
>>
>>109978806
the basis of this is
>LLM can't think they are just database
If you think AI can be intelligent (obvious for anyone know CS) you know it's bullshit
>>
>>109978806
for a while that was a fairly reasonable opinion to have, back when LLMs were first getting to the point where they could be coherent and respond somewhat intelligently, but were still obviously not passing the Turing Test, the main problem was that even if they were getting the right words 97% of the time, getting the wrong word 3% of the time means now the context window has errors in it and they only get the next bunch of words right 95% of the time, etc etc until they just spout random schizobabble nonsense. For a while it seemed like this might be an inherent flaw, and even if you trained and trained and got the initial prediction error rate down to 0.0001%, it would still climb over time as errors lead to more errors and eventually lead to random gibberish. That would mean synthetic data would be basically incestuous and make them retarded as the errors compound, and that you could never leave one running autonomously without constantly resetting it and losing any benefit from a meaningful context window. Very reasonable thing to believe about early LLMs, though definitely not something you could have been particularly confident about your belief in.
Technically they weren't even wrong, even with modern LLMs if you just run the output endlessly they do eventually start freaking out, but it turned out that they pretty quickly got smart enough to recognize and correct their own errors and you can just automatically summarize and clean up the context window once in a while and it's fine. That's why for a while they were all doing the "Wait, that's not right, actually I should..." when you read their CoT.
>>
>>109978903
It's pretty clear that they are quite lacking in fluid intelligence. The training coverage has just gotten extremely large and the models can put all that data into use.
>>
>>109978913
This was always a retarded assumption given the jump from gpt2 to gpt3, then the even bigger jump to gpt4 in how advanced AI was becoming and quickly.

>IT'S GONNA BE WORSE BECAUSE PEOPLE USE IT MORE
I think you fundamentally misunderstand the topic here, it's not remotely about people using it more. The models do get dumber the more of their own text they base their following token generations off of. Once we were at the point where models were already trained on a significant fraction of all human writing and still had this problem it did look like it might be an issue if we couldn't efficiently produce more without making them stupid, even some of the people making models were talking about shit like paying humans to churn out new writing to avoid it.
They were ultimately wrong and it was a nothingburger but it was a reasonable thing to worry about.

It's worth noting that current models are trained on huge amounts of synthetic data, but it is very specific verifiable data, where you can make a model that gets a math problem right 50% of the time write training texts, throw out all the text that fails testing and then only train on the correct examples. You can't just tell them to write a billion books and then train on those books to make it better at writing books. If you try that you do run into the compounding errors issue.
>>
>>109978997
You misunderstand. People use AI more = people putting out more AI content = AI trains on AI content more, was their mindset and the point I was making. Anything after your first sentence isn't worth addressing because you already misunderstood the assignment in your rant.
>>
>>109979018
It is something that they need to address and i'm sure they are. You can't just put the last few years of amazon digital releases in the training data without care.

Newfag here. I got GPT-6.1 Sol to scaffold a public-facing application of which I need to validate security early on. Is it a good choice to just let Opus 5.5 run over the code base? Is there an actual point to letting a completely different and possibly better model check code like this?
>>
>>109978941
You underestimate LLM because you overestimate human. The trial and error phase is very bad when human learning genuine new things, for example, putting someone never used computer into a moba game.
LLM don't have continual learning so they will be very bad at something and then the next model come out and they just execute that thing effortlessly
>>

>>

The optimal passive structure is generally a low, wide, symmetric, tapered, triangulated frameβ€”similar to an A-frame, pyramid, or diagrid.

Key features:

Wide base: increases resistance to overturning.

Low center of mass: reduces tipping moment.

Tapered height: keeps mass and wind/lateral-force leverage low near the top.

Triangulated bracing: transfers lateral loads mainly through axial forces rather than bending.

Symmetry: prevents twisting when the force reverses or changes direction.

Internal damping: friction, viscoelastic, or yielding elements reduce oscillation without base isolation.

Natural frequency away from the forcing frequency: this is critical because resonance can cause very large motion even when the applied force is moderate.

A simple tipping condition is:

\[
Fh < W\frac{b}{2}
\]

where \(F\) is lateral force, \(h\) its effective height, \(W\) the weight, and \(b\) the base width.

So, for maximum stability: maximize base width and low-level mass, minimize height and upper-level mass, use continuous triangular load paths, and design stiffness/damping to avoid resonance.

There is no universally optimal geometry for an arbitrary continuously oscillating force: if its frequency or amplitude is unrestricted, any passive finite structure can eventually encounter resonance or overturning.

>>
how do I get gpt to make a general traversal + procedural IK system for UE 5.5.4?
been trying since 5.4 & it just can't do it
>>
For UE 5.5.4, have GPT build the traversal system in strict stages, compiling after each one.
Start with a C++ UTraversalComponent that only detects geometry. It should use sweeps/traces to find the obstacle face, top surface, ledge position, obstacle height/depth, landing position, and character clearance. Draw every result with debug lines/shapes.
Store the result in something like FTraversalCandidate containing traversal type, wall normal, ledge transform, destination transform, obstacle dimensions, and references to moving components.
Then add traversal classification: step, vault, low mantle, high mantle, hang, etc. Keep thresholds data-driven.
Implement one action first: mantle. Use a root-motion montage plus Motion Warping to align the animation to the solved ledge/destination. Once mantle works reliably, reuse the same framework for vaults.
For hanging, shimmying, and climbing, use explicit traversal states and preferably a custom CharacterMovement mode rather than teleporting the character each frame.
Add procedural IK only after traversal works.
Foot IK: ground traces foot targets pelvis adjustment FBIK.
Hand IK: ledge sampling left/right hand targets FBIK/Control Rig shoulder/spine compensation.
Gameplay code should determine where hands/feet/body need to go. IK should only modify the pose to reach those targets.
Recommended order:
Detection Candidate Solver Classification Mantle Vault Hang Shimmy Climb Foot IK Hand IK FBIK Moving Platforms Networking.
When GPT writes code, make it provide complete .h/.cpp files and fix compiler errors before adding new features.

For codemaxxing, I agree. aye but they've mentioned rolling them out more widely eventually - i wouldn't be surprised if plus get them whenever the next luna rolls around.
and that's the pitch for shit like muse and instinct
even with dots, which were shown primarily as work helpers, there's a big barrier because unless your place of work actually uses openai you're just not going to have much use for one.

this vibecoding is crazy, no real effort has to be put in except corrections on small details, as long as you give a generally accurate description of something, claude can implement it

Decouple the object? isolate the good from the bad, see which parts of the object are cancerous, make a healthy clone of the object, see which part of the interface is being used by callers, etc. that's what I'd do. Not try to fix anything, just see if I can reduce those 100 places to a handful of relevant ones.
But with those corporate mammoths it's often really difficult to get anything like this done because every change has to go through so much red tape. Maybe if you could use a worktree and work fully locally, that could help to at least isolate the error?

OpenAI fumbled the consumer AI market by not investing in ads earlier. When they realized most people won’t pay for AI subscriptions, they refocused on enterprise to compete with Anthropic. Their ads business may be growing, but they’re well behind - they still have no established cash flow to fund something like Muse. So their new β€œdots” product is a paid-tier feature.

It’s very hard to get sued for that if you’re not making any money and even when making money it’s very hard to get sued. Look at all the parody games on patreon for franchises like overwatch.
If you’re not directly using assets from them at most you will get hit with a cease and desist.
Some companies are very litigious like Nintendo but even then look at the amount of people with patreons making porn of peach without getting hit.

there will objectively be no reason to learn things in the future. programmers everywhere already complain that they can't code like they used to and we are being told we aren't going to need to read the code at all. relinquishing away our intelligence to an AI will absolutely make us stupider. are you stupid? anyone sane who can think two steps ahead is having an existential crisis right now over things like human purpose, fulfillment, self worth and dignity and controlling fate. there will be a value crisis and a death of self expression. people won't have a reason to do anything anymore and will not care about art anymore. If you are niggercattle, it may be utopia for you but anyone with a functioning brain is already internally screaming.

opus as orchestrator, API designer, planner
astra xhigh for intensive research and implementing complex facets, its logical reasoning ability is the best it's just more autistic than opus. it sometimes calls another opus as a consultant.
kimi K3 as primary bug fixer, astra as concurrency bug fixer, sonnet as 3D asset author
general worker pool rotation with grok 4.7, glm 5.3, deepseek 4.1 flash, sol 6.1 medium, sonnet

immediately nice speed benefit in spreading work across multiple inference servers

ok, i am about to make the story for the quest mode.

the quest mode as it is right now works on its own. Maybe i can push it to a point with a full story? Why not, i have to keep me distracted so i don't get panicattacks, thats the most funny part of having that braindamage shit, idk, for some reson the dopamin pills are not strong enough anymore.

anyhow.... i will jsut write the story and shit.

I made a few bugfixed, injected 2 more combos and removed the speedkoikoi mechanism. Plus more things... idk... i think some lag spikes....yeah, lagspikes.

Ok, so for now this will be the build until the next version, idk how long this will take.
Ah yes, i also made it possible to play old battles again, for fun.
