I don't know exactly how ctwm works but looking at your status bar I would guess similar to openbsd's cwm in that you you choose which workspaces to show at any time. My question for you is: how do you determine what workspaces are hidden, and which are visible? By the look of the status bar it looks like you are taking care of that, if not then my bad for making you read my wall of text!

not at all. all plastic fascia, sure but the rest is solid built with metal. it's heavy in weight, although ive never rucked it without my 2 hdds, gpus, psu, cooler, and 5.25 dvd drive in it. has great feet, big plastic ones. i wish they were rubber but they do well. other than some light marring from some retards i let wander foolishly into my domain, it's held up fantastically for almost ten years. i intend to keep it around for many more.

Yeah, I've never understood the use for polybar. Xfce4 panel already allows for a pretty nice degree of customization. My only nitpick with it is that there's no way of keeping plugins centered without just eyeballing it.

That hasn't been my experience. I've been getting consistently better performance on Linux than I ever did on Windows and the only games I know of that I can't play are games that I have no interest in playing to begin with such as fagnite.

for whatever reason, probably growing up fairly poor, I can't bring myself to throw away shit that's still working just fine. I run things into the ground, and these monitors refuse to give up. the colors are wildly different on the two so that's a bit of a pain
