Oh, they've finally implemented "NB 2.1" on Flow, FTR. Pic only semi-related, genned in NBP, but postprocessed in NB2.1

Uh, no, it's a negative thing regardless. You may ignore it at your leisure and not have it negatively impact you as a result but that doesn't change the fundamental negative nature of it.

>>109993123
It's gone on my end, too. The curious thing is that the gens I made with the model now are flagged just as "Nano Banana 2" when you click on the circled I button (Show asset info).
> way less "failed gens"/censoring issues.
Eh, but that was because it rewrites/sanitises the prompt more, I think. At least I noticed the issue only after I got the new model for a while, until yesterday's afternoon the model was acting normal. And it's still doing that, you type "naked" and it dresses them. It makes me wonder whether they've decided to silently replace the model without renaming it, at all.

Picrelated was generated now with Nano Banana 2, using the same prompt as >>109984094 which was quite blocked, but it didn't result in random pieces of fabric covering her.

I'm asking Gemini to come up with machines, this is the power of AI

Here are three random animals along with a signature object inspired by each one:
1. Cheetah Afterburner Turbo Jet (inspired by their explosive, short-burst acceleration)
2. Spider Monkey Magnetic Grappling Hook (inspired by their incredibly secure, prehensile tail grips)
3. Pufferfish Inflatable Airbag Barrier (inspired by their rapid, defensive self-expansion)
By combining these objects, we get the "Turbo-Claw Momentum-Sphere"—a high-velocity, indoor parkour rig engineered for hyper-active cats to experience extreme speeds, aerial acrobatics, and safe landings.

This machine looks like a slick, futuristic wind tunnel crossed with a high-tech climbing wall. It uses smart wind currents, tethered safety lines, and soft, expanding pads to let cats run and leap at absolute maximum speed.

1. The Launch: The cat steps onto the anti-slip runway, triggering a laser target that zips down the circular lane. The Afterburner Turbo Jet blowers spin up, creating an exciting wind tunnel effect.
2. The Aerial Hook: As the cat reaches top speed and launches upward to intercept the laser on the wall, the overhead Magnetic Grappling Hook system tracks their center of mass, gently assisting their leap height.
3. The Soft Landing: If the cat gets too ambitious and tumbles, the Inflatable Airbag Barrier walls instantly expand into pillowy geometric nets, ensuring the cat lands completely unharmed and ready for another run.
4. The Benefit: It allows high-energy breeds (like Bengals or Savannah cats) to safely satisfy their need for raw, uninhibited speed and wild vertical jumps within the safety of a living room.

unasked-for schizo prompt...
subject is [blank], text is [blank], the style is: raw naive outsider digital drawing, crude hand-drawn mobile-phone/MS-Paint-like illustration, intentionally amateur and unpolished, awkward simplified anatomy, strange slightly forlorn cartoon character, stiff frontal pose, disproportionately large head and small body, uneven asymmetrical facial features, tiny dot pupils, blank worried or exhausted expression, thin shaky black outlines drawn freehand with inconsistent pressure, irregular wobbly contours, occasional stray marks and imperfect joins, no line smoothing, no clean vector quality. Flat solid color fills only, absolutely no shading or realistic rendering, very limited muted palette with one or two oddly bright accent colors. Large areas of empty flat background surrounding the figure, sparse composition, subject isolated near the center inside a roughly rectangular hand-drawn field or patch whose edges are visibly uneven and organic. Small crude decorative marks, stars, scratches, or meaningless symbols scattered sparsely around the subject. Strong contrast between the central picture area and the outer background. Handwritten caption placed beneath the image, very thin scratchy irregular lettering, uneven spacing and letter heights, visibly written by hand rather than typeset. The overall feeling is personal, diaristic, deadpan, melancholy, awkward, slightly absurd, vaguely unsettling but also funny; homemade internet outsider art, notebook doodle, DIY zine aesthetic, anti-polish, anti-professional illustration, deliberately plain and emotionally blunt. Keep the image extremely simple, flat, sparse, lopsided and imperfect; do not beautify it, do not add sophisticated lighting, texture, painterly effects, polished cartoon rendering, smooth vectors, gradients, 3D depth, detailed backgrounds, or conventional cute character design.

NB2.1 has also been implemented in AI Studio (paid and it's more expensive than NB2), the naming is really curious, it was mentioned before, but it doesn't say explicitly which Flash model is running on top of, unlike the previous iterations.

People on leddit lament that it doesn't follow the prompts well, in comparison to NB2, but I've only really noticed that with nudity/sexiness, it looked quite suspiciously selective, otherwise it's at least more consistent than NBP (even if it's also more prone to obvious anatomical aberrations). One last time: It's not how you feel about it. It's about its status in the abstract. Yes, you can be a fucking inbred retard and say "Hey, being on someone's designated hit list is not inherently negative, just ignore it" (to use an example so extreme that even your autismo ass should get it) but that doesn't change that it is fundamentally a negative thing to be on there. It's negative if you can't ignore it. It's quite easy to do that, I've been on that list for *quite* some time now. People causing unjustified and preventable, actual, sufferance, that's what is actually negative and one should try, within what is possible, to prevent.

On another note, I think there's a new error message mentioning extensions being the culprit, now:

While it did change the pixels at the midriff, it left the surrounding pixels entirely untouched. A convenience so I mostly don't have to manually mask images in an image editor when I'm desperate for quality preservation.

This lounge chair is too short, considering it doesn't fit with her knees slightly bent.

The other day I was seeing videos of people scaring people off with cats using spider/centipedes costumes and the likes. It was kind of funny. I guess a shrimp would probably trigger more easily a laughter, though.

The other day I saw a video of a bottomless pit illusion rug with a cat and dog and found out it was generated. People were pointing out how bs some stuff and timing is.
I don't care about "soul" but when things are presented as "this is totally real and recorded live" and not as staged/skits, the fakeness "cheapens" it when it's not an accurate representation. I would care less if it was a perfect simulation of reality, though I'd still like to know if it was real (lol "is this real" meme).
Technically "is this real" was a thing before AI, but now overall trustworthiness drops even further.

We are not immune to propaganda. Things can be minor and even unintentional, if we see enough of it, it can influence our perception of the thing.

Now that you mention it, I actually had half the impression that some videos in the compilation I mentioned before were AI, albeit people have been doing that thing, giving bug costumes to pets in order to play jokes on people, since well before AI; it didn't really bother me much because it's not really a serious thing. But I agree that being able to tell apart AI from reality is something that we should be able to do, I'm personally quite in favour of technologies like C2PA, which can make that possible while unobtrusive. And it's a pity/shame that people work actively on trying to strip that unobtrusive metadata. The opposite alternative is entities like the EU enforcing huge "THIS IS AI" watermarks, which would ruin completely our hobby and pleasure.
