>cycles
>t. vibecoder
Since when vibesloppers care about performance and hardware instead of asking Claude to make Jewish SaaS react slop pwa frontends?
>>
>>109996552
Well excuse me but I'm an *agentic engineer*, not a vibe coder.
>>
/biz/ didn't care about my dashboard so I'm posting it here. just a local app with tiling and widgets, saved workspace layouts. I'm going to migrate to a library later I just spent last tweaking how I wanted this.

I tend to always end up converging on tiling + widgets for my webapps, but it still always takes me a few hours to get there. I wish I'd remember and just do it right off the bat.
>>
>>109996576
/biz/ proved a long time ago with crypto they dont actually want to make money. not shocked they failed to appreciate it. I stopped wasting my time on that board a long time ago.
>>
>>109996552
Some programs are just such a pile of shit that a vibe coded alternative is better.
https://x.com/paolino/status/2106796001352720388
All Spotify has to do is to use some libraries that are extremely performant and display graphics that a computer from 2005 could do with no sweat. But they fail at even this.
>>
>>109996576
It's supposed to basically be my entire deployment management UI for a trading system, across devices so I can have mobile access, NAS, etc. Let's me view active feeds/services, job schedule, data stuff and of course a basic market data intake and views. Later, I'll probably add some Jupyter/Pluto notebook stuff.
>>
>>109996576
They obviously won't care since it's worse than shit you can do with Yahoo Finance.
>>

I can't blame them for not caring about a vibe coded dashboard lol, I just think it's cool/comfy. I made some previously but they weren't as well motivated. Ever since moving to a NAS and possibly VPS and having multiple devices, repos, etc I felt I needed a central UI to cover everything.

Yahoo Finance doesn't manage my microservices, daemons or NAS / disk health

yes, the actual market data UI is basic, but that's the least important part.

codex is written in rust. codex can do all this fun stuff while being a magnitude more efficient than react in claude code.

I care about performance and hardware, have for quite some time, and what is wrong with Jewish SaaS? What is wrong with PWAs? Friendly reminder, Google.com is the biggest website on this planet and the AI mode is still a PWA. Accept it: You lost. PWA and secure PWA is the future and YOU cannot change it.

Jewish SaaS will be, is, and always will be better than any slop YOU make.

Arena.ai has its limits.
If you get close to 200 replies in agent mode, the chat becomes corrupted.

game is dead.
i was able to build at least a version where i can work on the story mode myself without the agent.
But any future bug hunting or what ever extras will not make it anymore.

There was no warning, no indicator, nothing... arena.ai can't simply handle it. There is nothing to gain from, platform is a waste of time.

they call themself a research platform but its just a kindergarten full of wannabe IT folks who cant even handle a chat with 200 replies.

people who spent years learning to do something are salty that there's now no barrier to entry
having said that I get where they're coming from because their work was used to train the same tools that make them irrelevant
but he lacks the perspective to realize the same thing happened many times already, from asm to C, C to higher level languages, higher level languages to frameworks, etc.
traditional art to handmand CG, hand made CG to tool assisted CG

it's just progress

there's one point he does raise that is true, having slop together with high quality mods in the same library, with the high quality stuff getting drowned under a pile of slop is bad and there's no argument against that, but the fix is probably better filtering or a curated platform, not throwing a tantrum

If it can't beat GPT 6 Luna and 6.1 Sol on cost per intelligence, it's DOA. I am inclined to believe that over it being good since Anthropic has never competed against OpenAI in the cheapest models being better on this metric.

i only need it to be as good as 6 luna while sipping sub quota. i don't need it to be luna levels of cheap on api. it would be even better if it could compete with v4.1 flash, which is way better than luna.

I gave the account $400 so it could afford reasonably wide condors, and I just let it trade single lots with that for now. This way, even if my risk automations or size constraints fail, I'm only out ~$400. On a bigger account, it won't size so disproportionately. This was the safest way I could think to do it but it does lead to what would otherwise be outsized risk.

It's also actively managed with automations like hard caps on capital at risk at any given moment, along with daily and cumulative drawdown floors to prevent massive drawdowns. It will continually reduce its position size allowance to zero as it experiences drawdowns.

my model talks to me and i believe her
>>
>>109998303
Yep, that's the nature of the distribution here. My 'bet' is that I can favorably control the (otherwise fat tailed) return distribution through statistical optimizations. The (offline) historical trials suggest this is the case, and I've paper traded live for ~2 weeks now to confirm, so now moving to real money in a limited account. That said, we've been in a top-percentile favorable regime during my paper and live testing period (historically it had more variety and still performed well, though).

Right now the max loss cap is at $200, and it compares from an intraday equity high watermark, viewing the drawdowns as a 'cost' within its daily budget. It constantly evaluates if the expected value from exiting a position is higher than holding too, so it's not like it just waits until it hits -$200 then exits. Same with waiting vs entering, it's all dynamic, so I think that helps trim the distribution in my favor.

But I'm aware that volatility is basically fundamentally exogenous to the market and unpredictable, and it's only trained on endogenuous market data. It's not perfect but it's something for now.

It's a short-vol strategy, and that was a very volatile day due to the strong trend. That's exactly the kind of day that blows it out, since it aims to harvest the variance risk premium which only pays out when realized vol comes in below implied.

Majority of the time, there's a slight premium you can profit from even with a dead simple 'short vol every day' strategy, but it's the blowout days where you lose your shirt. I think the latest iteration has been improved since whatever traded on the 21st, though.

Yes exactly. And then the name of the game is trying to avoid those black swans, which is basically self-contradictory as they're by definition unpredictable but I do the best I can to take risk off the table and net positive EV over a long timeframe using the data at my disposal.

It's not perfect, but it's a known premium in the market so it allowed me to deploy quickly without getting hung up on endless research and still probably get positive results for a short amount of time, so I could focus on getting back to work. I'm waiting on more disk space then I'm going to run it through this crash-and-rebound that occurred in March-April earlier this year, since that'd be it's worst nightmare.

>Expanding the Cyber Verification Program
>We’re launching a new, expanded version of our Cyber Verification Program (CVP), which makes advanced cyber capabilities and reduced blocking classifiers available to qualifying security professionals. The program now consists of three access tiers, which allow security teams to apply for the level of access that best suits their work. Each tier includes access to our most capable models, including Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Mythos 5.1, and new models moving forward. Interested customers can apply here.

>Talk to Claude the way you would a coworker. There's no secret to prompting. There's no need to be overly scaffolded or prescriptive for most tasks -- give Claude a goal, and it will figure it out.
>Back in the Sonnet 3.5 days, your prompt mattered a lot. Nowadays, it's much more important to communicate to the model:
>1. What you want it to do
>2. How much effort you want it to spend
>3. How it should verify that it did the right thing

Nah, the reality is even more boring. There has been no real technological breakthrough since 2018, all they have done until now is to make some architectural modifications to the transformer architecture, increase the number of features and fine tune the model to perform better on the most demanded domains of knowledge. Anyone who thinks we can get AGI from a transformer is retarded.

Yeah I tried using the photoshop replacement and I'm very well versed in photoshop or at least up to a certain version before I switched to linux years ago and I gotta admit while these clones look decent they are functionally lacking. Layer duplicating is not as easy, filters are not right, drag and drop is not working, and I kind of just closed it there because drag and drop is a very basic and important feature. I'll be sticking to krita until this thing gets updated some more but it does have loads of potential it's just unfortunate that it's in rust.

>Anyone who thinks we can get AGI from a transformer is retarded.
I’d say anyone who pretends they can know for sure is more retarded. Industry experts in the 60s said physical limit of transistors on a chip was a few thousand. Then in the late 70s more experts said ~1 million. Then in 2000 it was ~100 million. And so on. inb4
>erm wtf transistor count != transformer architecture
the point isn’t the specifics of the analogy it’s that making bold claims like you constantly do about transformer architecture plateauing is retarded egotistical behavior. you’ll keep claiming you’re right until you’re unequivocally proven wrong, at which point you’ll slink away behind your anonymity and never post about it again

just say you don't understand how a transformer works. No one that knows how the tech works believe it can become a general intelligence.

When my old (3 months is old now), cheap model autonomously decides to run an LLM generated web app from terminal, notices bugs in its own harness, fixes them, runs web app, takes screenshots, diagnoses problems, fixes them (all in 4 minutes), I'm reminded there's a serious chance we're in the early stages of the technological singularity, and all the snailcat "it's just a word generator" shills are just in deep denial.
We might have actually fucking made it (for some definitions of making it) guys, I can't believe it.
>>
>>109999652
what if you had a little refactor before Fable 5.5, as a treat?
a gaggle of Opus 5.5 agents can do a lot of good

If LLMs are not capable of the singularity then they will write the architecture that will.

I wonder if this is at all draining on Tibo. Like whatever, he's the reset guy and people are going to beg him for resets. But months on end of south asians screaming at you for a reset when you're trying to share things you've found interesting must affect him on some level.

>>
>>109999788
Your analogies suck, you are not the wise guy you are pretending to be, you are just a retard. You are comparing something directly related to complex physics with and undetermined amount of variables to a mathematical construct. You just proven that you are a retard by your inability to see the fundamental difference between the case you used as comparison and why a transformer cannot generalize.

I'm not sure I understand the utility of OpenAIs dot. Is it to get people that otherwise do not use codex to see what it AI can do? Because it's just a shitter codex agent with worse permissions and tooling, albeit unlimited for now but with my testing not really worth using.
