Latitude's been enshittified like crazy, Dell Latitude + Windows 11 is the most cancerous combination I've seen in my 35 years of experience with computers. I rode four Latitudes to death since 2018 and I would never use one as a personal device

I hate to say it, because I'm a macfag only reluctantly and only for work... but macbooks simply do not have this problem. Sleep is completely reliable and you can just throw a macbook into a bag and not worry about it.
It may or may not wake up in some super low power mode occasionally, if it does then it doesn't matter... it will stay cold to the touch and hardly use any battery power.
