it took me two hours to code by hand a small browser extension. half of the time I was just reading the docs and references. After the project was complete I tried to recreate the whole thing in-vibo and it took around 20 minutes.

>>110012773
Depends on the "project" and your requirements for it. If you just want to vibe up yet another goon gallery or some voxel game you're going to play for 15 minutes and never touch again, then yes.
Otherwise, if you need to make something that's production-ready and that other people might need to use or support, the time savings will not be quite so dramatic, since you (or, more likely, your model) will need to jump through more hoops before the thing is considered "done", like testing, code reviews, documentation, some kind of planning so you have at least a vague idea of what Claude is stuffing in your app under the hood and can track progress etc.

In a weird way most open source projects are now less open than before because of LLMs. Tons of projects are limiting PRs to trusted contributors or don't even bother reviewing stuff by new people because they are so inundated with PRs they cannot review it all. It's an annoying problem for sure.

>at some point it becomes a pain to maintain and update.
Full disclosure: I'm a vibe coder that has used local ($6k worth of hardware so yes I can actually use the good ones) and the big boy cloud models. I know absolute fuck all about software development beyond introductory python and web dev courses I took when I was in uni (forgot basically everything I learned after I passed them).

Why exactly would it be hard to maintain even if it's a giant ass code base? It's not like you necessarily need the model to ingest ALL of it into its context at once and it usually doesn't even do that unless it's a pretty small project. It usually figures out what directories and files are actually relevant and reads those and figures out if it needs to learn more or if it perused enough to have a basic rundown on what it is and what needs to be changed, added, removed, etc. Recording your concerns about it getting more difficult to maintain the bigger the project, wouldn't git tracking make that a non-issue? Get help projects that are actively maintained already have extensive git diff histories the user and/or the "agent" can use and reference. If you have any common sense then if you fork a project and then make changes you periodically use git tracking with well written commit messages and descriptions (both because that's just what you should be doing regardless and it also makes it easier on yourself and the LLM to know what's going on). Not trying to argue with you or present some "A HA but what about THIS" post. I feel like no matter how big the project is if the user isn't a complete retard and actually knows how to articulate what needs to be changed and how then size is irrelevant. I'm happy to hear any good counter arguments.

Nta but keep in mind a lot of stores for chains that have online shopping don't have online inventories that match their actual inventory. Sometimes the website will say they have an item but then they're actually completely sold out or vice versa. This applies to pricing too where the online price will say one price but then it turns out the store actually recently updated the pricing or some certain deal doesn't apply anymore but the online store doesn't reflect it immediately. If you want the app to help you figure out what the total price is then you can have it query the online store but be prepared for slight inaccuracies, especially if the store has gay shit like "dynamic pricing"

While we're on the topic of vibing personal things, I had GLM create a custom YouTube MCP server that uses termux and the backend. Now I can have models "watch" YouTube videos (assuming they aren't age restricted. I'll have to update it to support cookie login later). Use the Claude code harness (if you're a fan of being cucked but an opinionated know-it-all model that talks to you like it thinks you're a bafoon)

>where it can just call whatever it likes and not use the desktop to burn all tokens.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. Do you want to use the model just in a regular chat interface like the app?
>also is there a way to let it continue after the session limit by itself if I say leave my PC?
You can't. If you use the app version and you reached the session context limit it'll politely tell you (then force you)n to start a new chat. It'll "remember" details it Dean's relevant from the previous chat but you have to start another chat over. Claude code will do the same ask do other harnesses, and for good reason. If you blow past a model's context window you get quality degradation and it starts forgetting what the chat was about in the first place. It becomes noticeably retarded and borderline useless for what you want it to do.

This doc explains what compaction is and why it HAS to be done with any llm.

80-90% of people are utterly useless and have no creativity at all, even when you put them in front of the God machine. Their brains would be better served plugged into and feeding a data center. I tried to demo agents to coworkers and friends and they were like “uhhh what do I do?” I told them literally just type a sentence explaining something that you want to make. I disabled compaction for opencode and enabled pruning. I think it is much better.
Compaction loses important instructions all the time, I had it cause an agent which was meant for research only turn into implementation because it compacted right as it was reporting the result.
So I made a small plugin to force a response back to the main thread if a sub agent exceeds 90 turns, and disabled compaction all together.
Pruning is useful tho.

•Contra 3 - just delete the fucking mode 7 levels from the game.
•zombies ate my neighbors - twin stick controls via the Face buttons. Change item and weapon switching to the pause menu.
•castlevania 4 - remove the mode 7 shit from this too.
•tales of Eternia or any other tales game - the ability to assign arts to more buttons, like right stick up/down/left/right
•Illbleed - make the lumberjacks run slower in the woodpuppets level.
•sonic adventure 1 & 2 - make the big, Knuckles, and rogue levels optional
•Symphony of the Night - All familiars can be used at once. Or, 2nd player controls the imp. Also, speed up the enemies to increase the difficulty.
•Zero moveset from mega Man x3 zero project imported into x1 and x2
•Battle Network 4 - All styles from both versions all available in a single play through
•Parasite eve - aya walks faster so her walk cycle doesn't look stupid anymore
•Zero with moves from x5 and x6 ported into syphony of the night
•fix the combat in vampire hunter D ps1 so enemies don't respawn and they can't stun lock you in groups
•zero with his gba moves ported into aria of Sorrow
•final Fantasy 7: 4 party members in battle instead of 3
•Dino crisis - you can actually see where you are and your direction on the map
•berserk Dreamcast - sword doesn't hit the wall
• castlevania legacy of darkness - control the camera with dpad, so you can map that to to right stick in emulators
•add the rest of the alpha 3 maxxx characters to Capcom vs snk 2
•Lunar 1&2 partial retranslation that removes the dated 90s pop culture references

ps1 games that could use true Right stick camera controls:
• spyro 2
•medievil
•resident evil survivor
•rising zan

Some Brazilian made a dreamcast controller that seems to have right analog functionality. I wonder if it would be possible to add right stick to these games:
•jet grind radio
•Rayman 2

>September 14, 2026
>Anthropic has told its backers it will be profitable this quarter, as it moves to allay investor concerns about the aggressive cash burn of frontier AI companies ahead of its blockbuster initial public offering.
>The company has told a small group of shareholders that its adjusted operating income will be positive for the second consecutive quarter, according to multiple people with knowledge of the matter. The measure strips out costs including stock-based compensation.

Need advice: is it better to go the subscription route and use Anthropic/OpenAI models, or is it better to put $20 into openrouter and play with the Chinese models as guided by benchmarks?
I know it's a race and the pendulum will swing frequently, but in terms of getting money's worth, which are people preferring?
I really hate that with subscriptions if you don't use it every 5 hours you're wasting money, but also don't know if doing the same work with other models would be more expensive or be cheaper.
What is everyone else recommending? Just buying Claude and being happy? Or using credits and playing around? Or credits + frontier models (sounds retarded), Or both a sub and purchasing openrouter credits?

I can't one shot a video game, it's taking months.
This is because I'm not good at prompting.
If you tell it to improve the graphics it continues to use a custom draw tool to doodle a space ship or something. I just told it to use a dedicated graphics tool and now it's suddenly producing better graphics. This must be what you guys have been telling sol to use so it can one shot games in like 2 hours of work.
I've been asking around how to get better at prompting but people are telling me to ask chatgpt so I get prompts created to one shot games, but these prompts are not working and they didn't even contain instructions to use blender.

If you never subscribed, OpenAI gives you a free 1 month trial for GPT plus. $20 USD on OpenRouter right now will let you use roughly 25 million tokens a day, with DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, or almost double that for V4 Flash, but this one is shit at being an agent.

Subscriptions overall give you a better value, but if you touch the frontier models you're cooked.

You sound like a fag.
What US or UK city is better than Zagreb? Keep in mind this is a city of 770,000 so your answer needs to be a real fucking city with at least 400,000 people, and not some sheltered little fucking suburb in Mormon country that can be taken over by 3rd world shit skins in a single year the way every town in Texas has been.

Also, the weather is basically the same as Italy. So there's no answer for the UK where the weather can compare, and in America the nicer the weather is the more shitskins there are.

And I'm aware Hungary isn't the balkans, but it's another low cost of living low crime white country. Though Croatia seems to be clearly better than it.

Decided to ask the nog what he's currently doing, and it's not using subagents, so it's probably using async tool call to inspect output and do work concurrently. Actually it mentions that using subagents would be a waste considering the sequential input of data in the task at hand as opposed to non-existent parallelization. It's one long-running command, with basic summarizing in chat and editing report files based on stdout at the same time.

Why are slopbot-generated github issues so fucking verbose? Why do people post them without at least taking a look over them and deleting the obviously unnecessary parts?
I'm looking at issues on the SDL repo. They have a very clear no LLM policy yet people are still posting shit like this.
It includes an unreasonably in-depth analysis that nobody is going to read and consisting almost entirely of obvious information that anyone qualified to fix the issue will already know.

Funny thing is, it really is a valid bug and the maintainers have acknowledged that and assigned someone. This issue could have been one line
>GPU Vulkan: renderer->defragLock is used but never created

I rotate between openrouter and Ollama Cloud (it was the most retard friendly provider for me back when I was earning how to use LLM APIs). I mostly use GLM 5.3 flash for general purpose chat combined with Ollama cloud's scrape and fetch feature (the app devs were kind enough to hard code that feature into the app if you use Ollama cloud) which allows me use it as a Gemini replacement. I completely ditched ChatGPT a while back and haven't used Claud extensively in months (I need to get off my digital ass and just cancel both of those subs). RikkaHub also allows you to connect to MCP servers locally or remotely and it even has a builtin tool called
eval_javascript
that lets it do actually accurate arithmetic instead of hallucination prone napkin math.

I had it browse an >>>/g/aicg thread last night and I found out Kimi-K3 is apparently pretty good for roleplay if you Prefil and turn reasoning completely off (reasoning on at any strength = "safety" refusals). See pic rel.

My girlfriend likes to NSFW rp so I may recommended she switch from Mistral large 3 to this one.

there's nothing stopping you from having AI maintain a linux distro using LFS as a base. you could easily automate the entire process and have agents work like maintainers. I wouldn't vibeslop an entire kernel because there's no reason to, but your operating system? perfectly doable I'd say. just don't reinvent the wheel
>>
>>110014077
Because actual complex projects have complex inter module or package dependencies. Your model will have to read more every time, and your model will also document a lot more to not forget about that increasing the amount of tokens consumed for that kind of projects exponentially. You will never have that issue with shitty webapps or shitty games, but big projects like OS or huge products like... SAP for example. The thing is that LLMs are extremely inefficient at remembering stuff and complex relationships, its pretty much the biggest problem the tech faces right now, we will not have AGI until its solved for good.
>>
>>110016554
This, but unironically.
>>
>>110016721
>>110016721
>>
>>110016501

Hypothetical scenario
>Slop fork ComfyUI
>Add feature X because the main maintainers won't add it themselves
>Keep two separate git branches: the regular upstream main branch and your own personal dev branch
>Main branch dev releases feature y
>Switch to main branch and git pull
>Tell llm to implement feature y into your personal dev branch and tell it to run tests to ensure the changes actually work and don't break anything else
>You're already using get tracking presumably so any errors can be easily corrected or undone.
>Only do this when you WANT or NEED useful features added to your personal branch
>Push to your forked repo

That doesn't sound that difficult to be honest. Knowing what version control is and how it can be used make vibe slop development 10 times easier.

>Your model will have to read more every time,
Non-issue if you have a model with a sufficiently large contact window. Again, the models are not ingesting the entire code base at once. That would be retarded and inefficient for a LLM or human to attempt unless the code base is Small potatoes. Plus if it's a personal fork you're not going to need to be making a bunch of changes constantly anyway. That's the main reason most people fork anything on GitHub anyway. either to have a backup in case that repo gets nuked for whatever reason or to make personal changes for later (example: ai-toolkit trainer recently had a bug that caused the trainer to crash if you selected the sd1 architecture via the GUI. I could wait on the maintainer to just fix it himself or I can just do it myself by creating a different branch on my machine and then fixing it myself there. That way my changes don't conflict with the main branch and I can use the local copy and upstream version as a reference when or if they update it with any changes I care about).
