at first i thought danbo was counting blocked ads as impressions but now im not too sure because apparently the click cost for other advertising platforms are like 25 cents to half a dollar. if i could do this again i definitely would try niching down when it comes to the boards i choose. i was advertising a textboard so it makes less sense to advertise on hobby boards that require a lot of non-text media in order to properly interact with their hobby. europeans seem more keen on clicking ads than north americans for some reason, maybe it was because i started the campaign during their later hours (or maybe europeans are just more willing to post on a textboard). was it worth it? i got a few laughs from a poster that came from the ads so i would say yeah. i'd definitely be interested in advertising future projects on 4chan simply because the demographic is somewhat predictable. if your product / site is aligned with anons' tastes i feel like you would be better off advertising exclusively on 4chan than somewhere like google or facebook/instagram.
I advertised on Facebook once, gave it a budget and it kept spending money despite having a limit put on it.Google will have their AI show up before your ad does.Instagram is probably only good for makeup. If I actually ever finish my next book there's a high chance I'll use lit because everywhere else just sucks.I especially like how 4chan respected your spending limit.
>>110020193Instagram ads are actually really good for hitting niches. I'm a beat maker and I get tons of very targeted ads about making beats from Instagram (The ads are actually cool and helpful for once). I imagine if you wanted to advertise a book on instagram you'd be better off paying an influencer to read your book and make a review, and then run that review as an ad so it blends into a user's feed.
>>110020069It costed you $20 for less than 1 day of ad run?
>>110020994not OP but that's about $1/8.5k impressionsCPM is usually $3 to $20 in the mainstream platforms, this means advertising here is 20 to 150x cheaper
>>110020373Instagram is only really good for whores to advertise their onlyfans, just hit up youtube for your blip bloop tutorials
>>110021087well i wouldnt know cause i dont see those ads big bro.
>>110021103oh yeah? Who's the most recommended people you might know on instagram?
>>110021053170,000 people viewed the ad? In less than 1 day?? Here??? Really? I find it hard to believe theres more than 20-30 people that visit this site.
>>110021138mostly my alt accounts and friends of friends
>>110021163most people are lurkers
>>110020069>173k views>46 clicksThat is so fucking dogshit lol what the fuck
>>110021185I'm surprised people even post there anything private anymore, I went the rabbit hole of following nora fawn and it just cascaded from there
0.03% click rate HAHAHAHAHAH
$20 for 46 clicks HAHAHAHAA I'M DEAD Holy shit you can get more people just spamming
46 clicks Oh man thank you for this, I was actually gonna buy an ad for my site but I now won't
>>110021163"Viewed" just means the image loaded in this context 46 clicks KEK4 6lmfao
46 clicks lmao I
>>110021213>>110021224>>110021252Makes more sense desu. Less than 100 actual people on this website total is a fair assessment. So it probably 46% click rate by real people. The rest is bots.
>>110021224the correct way to advertise on this website is to buy a pass and start shill botting
>>11002129046 clicks LMFAO holy fuck
>>110021163Normies think 4chan is the origin of all the internet memes and where the "alt right"/"incel" was born, it has a folklore sort of association even if many don't actually post.
>>110021308The average CTR for Google Display Network ads is typically around 0.1% https://clictadigital.com/what-is-a-good-click-through-rate-ctr-for-google-ads/
>>110021341Don't forget the fappening, normalniggers rendered /b/ unusable until this day
>>110021252it's still way cheaper than any other platform, you retards laughing about it really have no idea how expensive advertising is
that CTR is horrific lol, obviously isnt filtering out the bots that make up 80% of this site's traffic
>>110021376doesnt matter how cheap it is if youre getting no traffic out of it40 of those clicks were probably accidental
>>110021393but the price isn't >>110021376I screwed up by cutting some decimals making it look slightly better but even then, 46 clicks per $20 beats any other platformeven if the numbers aren't exact, run them with different averages, it's all the same, plus minus a few clicks, less than $0.5 per click is dirt cheap for online ads>>110021403now you're just making shit up, as if that couldn't be the case for other platforms, holy shit
>>110021373Also got /r/ deleted
>>110021213>>110021224>>110021241stop laughing you scoundrel
>>110020069Can I create multiple ads? Like spend $20 but set different campaigns for different boards? How about set a impressions limit per day or something similar?
>>110021843yes to the multiple ads. idk to impression limits
