They better not send me a defective part this time, otherwise all the master race jq bullshit is an obvious farce if they can't manufacture right even after the U.S. government buys a stake in the company and help with research.

tandem woled or regular woled? qd oled not an option i just returned one
>>
>>110023366
>tandem woled or regular woled?
Tandem will be better as it significantly improves the volumetric collapse in colors at higher brightness levels over vanilla WOLED. That said, I'd really wait/spring for an RGB WOLED as LG shedding the White subpixel finally fixes the grey banding issues that affects the previous gen panels:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XODfpEF5j2o
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8dsv73d20o

>qd oled not an option i just returned one
May I ask what the problem was?
>>
>>110023366
Tandem has its own fair share of issues like banding. Old Woled wont get very bright.
>>
>>110023320
>My 270k plus has a defective IMC
What's the defect? VNNAON needs to stay at default 770mV or under 800mV if you want to use Sleep in Windows.
>>
>>110023366
Tandem woled and woled is the same tech

QDOLED is THE award winning tech, woled died in 2022 with the release of the first QDOLED panels

By buying woled you accept inferiority, if you seek the the best tech everything will be a step down from that, and you will suffer mental pain from accepting that you chose something worse, on purpose, forever regretting and living with this stain on your mind, what's next? you might even stoop down to minileds next and lose your mind completely

I always just put a big blob of thermal paste in the middle of the CPU and never spread. I lean towards using too much because who gives a shit, you will clean it every 5 years if the computer is even still functioning.

anything with "gaming" in the name is garbage.
get a good office desk and a good office chair instead. These are items made for people who professionally sit for full-time employment, so they're actually good, unlike branded, stylized slop for gamer hobbyists.

Office chair/desk will be sturdier and serve you better in the long run. At worst, gaming chairs can even be dangerous by advertising "comfort" which is actually a trap that will make you into a cripple over time.

Should I stick with 1440p and use DLSS Quality or go 4K and use DLSS Performance?
Since the base rendering resolution is still higher with 4K DLSS P I'm expecting a performance loss but than the upscaling is working with more pixels so potentially a higher quality output than 1440p DLSS Q?

Both will get you with 1-2C of liquid metal/cryosheet with no real risks at all.

The same performance years ago cost relatively less today. What people tend to focus on is the high end, which has gotten significantly more expensive as enthusiasts have been spending more and more for systems. Performance is going up at the same time larger and larger chips are being manufactured for demand. A 5090 is an insane beast and the idea that nvidia is even manufacturing 5090s is whats bringing the price up. A cheap is am5 or Intel system is competing for the same ram as an enthusiast build. Slow and cheap cards are more available than ever. People want newer next gen performance. You can buy a used consile for a fraction of the price of a new ps5 pro.

Another thing that people don't understand or are purposely ignoring is that even a machine with a mid range CPU and some 5060 ti is still better than 95% of PCs.

Of course it's just part of the new brain rot where people describe things as generic as possible to hide what they really mean.
>I can't afford a PC
The PC is a 5090 with 128gb of RAM and 32tb of SSD
>I can't afford a car
The "car" in question is a 100k limited trim truck
Etc

Nevermind the fact that having a decent PC is an objectively good thing in itself. Same way with having any new car.

IDK why it's so hard for anyone to be happy

MSI and Gigabyte can compete in other tiers, you can go by BIOS preference if you’re planning on OCing it.

nvidia will do whatever it takes to maintain gaming market dominance. jensen has many times acknowledged the gaming enthusiast to cuda developer pipeline and talked about how much install base matters which is why he put cuda nobody cared about into gaming GPUs in the first place
of course 'whatever it takes' to beat AMD is probably more paper launches, low supply, and overpriced cards people buy anyway, but they're not just going to leave the market no matter how relatively unprofitable it is

My last LCD monitor is "new" I guess, bought back in 2020 or 2021 not sure which. And it was a really basic entry level 4k one too.
But if everything new is crap the same applies to OLED, it just more expensive.

I do have an OLED tv by the way and I like it, I just will never be dumb enough to use OLED for anything with static elements like a taskbar/game huds/hell even the your character always been the center of the screen.
My OLED tv already has burn-in (not super visible but you can clearly see on solid color) where the subtitles always appear because most of the content I watch is anime.

Any anons know about
>SAS drives and backplanes, as well as interoperability with SATA? Also optional U.2
My new case has a very nice 12 drive backplane, and I plan to make it the center of my new NAS build/home server. I have about 5 or 6 SATA high capacity drives (mostly 8TB each), but i've been thinking about if its worth it to try and pick up some SAS drives too given the higher performance. I read many SAS drives have a 'fallback' SATA mode so you can just use them normally, but I want to make sure that using regular old SATAA drives alongside them won't force the SAS ones back to slower modes and thus negate their benefit?

Also, I'm pretty sure that most consumer mobos (even higher end X670E / X870E AMD AM5 socket boards) don't haven native SAS support right? So I have to get a separate , likely PCI-E card for SAS, right? PCI-E SAS HBA cards seem to vary a fuckload in price!

Taking off the brushed aluminum plate from the dark base 900 is a success with minimal loss of plastic hopefully, I don't understand why they chose to compromise the acoustics by leaving so much hollow room inside when they could have made the hinges all metal along with the door to then mass load it. I will put some butyl rubber in these spaces now. And then we will see if I can put the panel back on.
