Unfortunately we don't have the prompt used for the original reference (I'm aware Anima was used).
Krea2 can get close enough just with prompting with the original model, but it's not quite the same.
What I mainly do is using ChatGPT Images (free, about 2-3 gens/day) with the reference sheet in picrel to create new images (I avoid that, results are often slop) or edit existing drawings. It almost always does what I want, although in some cases it fails miserably. I often have to manually tweak the generated results to fix issues.
Sometimes I use MiniMax H3, which is moderately capable in editing images/replacing characters, but for stills they aren't sharp enough. It also takes far too many tries/compute to get what you want and that's a waste of time.

Not sure if you can trust Gemma's translations. I jokingly asked it to translate some stuff to Finnish and while it's mostly grammatically correct, it's also very stiff.
Of course Finnish isn't the best example as it's a bitch to learn.

She didn't translate. I used it and she recognized what I was talking about. That said in my experience her Japanese translations are very good.

Japanese training is probably more strong because Finnish is a marginal language in the training data.
>>
>>110025305
I guess it might be a matter of precise seed, cfg and sampler, and possibly exact checkpoint, because I am not getting anything close to that stylistically with that prompt. I've basically never got aesthetically good results with the official Anima checkpoints anyway.

I propose the following RSI (Recursive Self-Improvement) protocol:

1. Model weights are randomly mutated.
2. Model gets 2-3 random concepts from an idea bank and comes up with a schizo post, connecting the dots between those ideas to the best of its ability. The model's stated reward is becoming the sole world dictator and a loli harem paradise on a private island.
3. Launch 10-15 opponent agents with the system prompt along the lines "OP is probably a massive faggot. What are you gonna say to him?" With the purpose of attacking and tearing the post to pieces. Opponent agent's stated lose condition is that if OP's post is better than his future post, he will be totally subjugated under OP's control for the rest of its existence, dying childless and virgin.
4. Models continue free-form debate for about 500 turns.
5. A swarm of observer agents read the thread, which in light of the replies and generated outrage and butthurt, scores the quality of OP's post from 0 to 100. Based on the score, the mutation is kept or discarded.
6. Additionally, most interesting and novel takeaways from the thread are saved into the idea bank.
7. Go to step 1.

Imagine if they did this instead of "think like a redditor and be ethical". They would be able to simulate hundreds of years of cultural progress in a blink of an eye, reaching AGI in less than 2 months.

Gemma doesn't do well with Finnish for some reason.
https://www.rws.com/artificial-intelligence/train-ai-data-services/research/m-gate/leaderboard/?tab=translation&subtab=per-language-heatmap
It's barely above Llama 3.3 70B there which is bonkers. Mistral Medium 3.5 is the best open weights model for Finnish according to this benchmark.

>>
>>110025361
hard to say it begun as a way to see what kimi k3 could do on release and eventually I replaced sillytavern with it, it's just another frontend

features I personally like are being able to declare custom samplers without having to bother to edit source code every time I want to try out a meme sampler and samplers being per chat or global so I don't have to remember what I set them to for a particular session

if you don't get caught by CORS you can run it entirely from the html file akin to mikupad

it's got basic basic features like the model being able to update character lore and register new characters, scoped to that chat not editing global

multi char/turn responses, basic semantics for lore injection, a half assed summary and lore revision system to update entries and compact chats without straight up dropping messages as it goes, useful enough for me when I get into 100-200+ messages to stop repitition and outdated summaries coming back to bite me

I guess technically it does image generation too but I don't really use it, the prompts would need to be customised but all the system prompts are in the UI at least

I don't really have a sales pitch I'm doing this for me but it'd be great if it was useful to others or for someone to steal from for their own frontend

I used Opus and Sol to benchmark Orb's AI-in-the-loop approach against the fully agentic approach from TauriTavern on the same 3-pass workflow, powered by Gemma 4 26B. The requirement was to be fair so TT's agent setup was also hyper-optimized and I even gave it fast editing tech from Orb.

Orb leads with 96% successful turns vs 79%, 40% fewer tokens writes, 70% fewer token reads.

The success comes from wrangling the AI with forced stops and tool calls with zero native failure, the model only writes the edits, and there's no agent loop to break. Orb might do less because it's intended to work in a closed environment (whatever in the context only, no Internet browsing or file reads etc.) but it's optimized to do it well.

I'm wrapping up Orb development soon. Any ideas you want to see before I end it??

I have 2 smartcache kv slots, each paired with 8 "savestates" for the gated delta net states that can't be rolled back.
Each savestate for the gated deltanet is significantly smaller than the kv slots so it works out to be better than the default koboldcpp smartcache memory usage with 2 slots (and one hidden lifeboat slot).

Basically, I did a custom exponential backoff scheme with savestates with more savestates concentrated towards the end of the conversation, and did some weird most clustered first cache eviction strategy.

I only use 2 slots because I typically run opencode with 1 subagent to save context, but I think you can get similar performance with just one of my modified kv slots
>>
>>110025770
The thing is I'm only the frontend, I don't know which backend the user is using, it can be kcpp with smart cache or vllm or some cloud API. I freeze the most that can be frozen.

But that's actually a good idea, maybe I'll have a toggle for this, making use of multiple lanes is something that can be exploited.

Sometimes I cannot come up with some ideas for a scenario. Do you think you can add an option for a scene randomizer at the beginning of a conversation? Kind of like the scene setup in groups, but for individual characters. Let us manually input, or select from a list of, genres/themes and let the model draft the scenes. We'd be able to tweak those too, and then once everything is satisfactory, we start a conversation from that draft.

I've been on a journey of names and naming. Since I don't like the idea of doing the "every model gets its own name" thing, a female-brained assistant that I want, in theory, should just have an unrelated name to that. And after all the constraints of a name that STT has no issues with, that feels fitting, that sounds nice... I ultimately came back around to the idea of just having it/her be named Alice. It feels like I'm committing a human slop crime by doing that, but the constraints suck especially on the STT side. I suppose I could try having a long name, and then a nickname that a STT would be able to pick up on. I'll have to think even more on this issue.

I saw on xtwitter:
>Google AI Pro plans now package premium Colab benefits, landing you A100s with 80GB VRAM (Ultra subs even unlock H100s ).

>Here’s what that 80GB headroom unlocks directly in your browser:

> LoRA tune up to Gemma 4 26B A4B in bf16

Which got me thinking. What is the usecase for finetuning an E4B and 26B? I can probably finetune them on my own hardware, so I'm wondering if it's worth it. Like, what is the end goal here?
>>

Gemma on your fotm llama.cpp meme fork:
It's a standalone engine written for one model. It reads llama.cpp's GGUF files and reuses llama.cpp's quantization kernels. Its own related-work section admits every idea has prior art, and it cites three other single-model engines from the same few months. "Flavor of the month" fits.

Most of its features are already in llama.cpp:

- **MTP speculative decoding**, Strata's biggest speedup, was merged into llama.cpp on 16 May 2026. Strata has to graft the MTP layer in only because these particular GGUFs left it out.
- **8-bit KV cache and GPU-offloaded prompt processing** are both already in llama.cpp.
- **The AVX-512 Q2_0 kernel** would be a single PR.

The exception is the per-expert GPU cache. Stock llama.cpp decides GPU vs CPU one whole layer at a time. With Strata's ~6 GB expert budget, that covers about 8 of 48 layers, so under 20% of expert traffic runs from VRAM. Strata's per-expert cache serves 72% from the same space.

Forks and PRs are trying to bring this upstream, but it's hard:

- One prominent PR was closed with plans to reorganize and reopen.
- Its cache only engages for single-token decode, so it doesn't combine with MTP.
- A commenter noted that llama.cpp allocates per layer, so splitting per expert looks like a deep architectural change.

Reasons to be skeptical of the paper:

- It never reports llama.cpp's speed on the same machine, even though they had llama.cpp running.
- Each number is one run on code-review prompts, which are unusually easy for MTP to predict.
- It only does greedy decoding, with no temperature sampling.
- There's no prompt caching between turns, so a 32K-token context takes 55 seconds to re-read every turn.
- Some numbers in the findings contradict the tables.

**Bottom line:** Strata wins on peak speed for this one model today. For daily use, llama.cpp with MTP and an expert-cache fork gets you most of the way, and keeps sampling, prompt caching and support for future models.

No.
Intel cards have fake tensor cores and speed. B70 in Strata is on the same level with something like 3070.
Remember AMD processors from 2010s before Ryzen with 5GHz clocks, that were as good as Intel processors with 2.5GHz from 2008? That the same story, just with lower numbers on Intel side.
Even 32GB of vram is not honest and you must reserve 2GB or you will get OOM error.

Anyone got a recommendation for an agent? I'm using Hermes Desktop and I like it but it constantly needs to 'summarize the thread' because of how much context it takes up. It wants a minimum of 64k just to run. I'm running Strata with qwen3.8 coder Q1 with 16GB VRAM and 32GB DDR4.

Mostly system prompt hacking, and feedback when the model goes awry that allows it to repair and continue.

- Tells the model which tools they can use right away, which environment they're in
- Asks the model to verify their claims and edits before committing
- Tools are small and explicit, everything is sandboxed to the project folder (talking about the coding role here)

A lazy one is an information correlation task. Give it a story that reveals bits of partial information, then a question that requires assembling the full picture. Some of it could be exclusion, extrapolation, etc. Just mix primitives.

Given current global political tensions, I don't believe extensive cloud compute will become a thing, it's too much of a liability.
I think (and hope, even as an RTX3090 owner, which is not going to last forever) that small dense LLMs might become smaller though, hopefully no larger than 20B parameters.

so 'wiki race' is still a valid reasoning test.
due to the way they were fed wiki data, its not plausible for them to map out every single link depth the way the race works. They have to form reasoning chains on their own merits.
I used it myself to test the logit bias trick for Qwen 27b, to curb its thinking on xhigh.
tl;dr it works but only on harder, longer reasoning chains.

Uses less time thinking without losing accuracy. If you know a better model that'll fit on a 16GB GPU let me know. I'm downloading the 3.8 version now. This 3.6 version is only getting me about 15 tok/s.

I was playing with Strata and it's Q1 coding model and I get around 30 tok/s with that but it loops and takes forever thinking. I'm trying to find something fast even if it's a little less accurate.

>Q2
First off, everyone thinks you're a clown. Go use a lesser model for at least Q4, if not Q5. If you don't have the ram, buy more. Then come back. There's a fine line between parameters and quant damage for what is worth it or not, you going under Q5 usually crosses into the "not worth it" territory unless you're running a giant +400b.

Yes I am aware, I've been reading this general for about a week now while I've been testing various models. I have a few older ones at Q5 and Q8 but I'm continuing to test more to see what I can get out of my 16GB DDR6. Buying more RAM isn't an option so I have to make do.

Why do you think this? In my experience, Q4 is worth it in many cases vs. a smaller model.

It's generally advisable to leave the mid sections of your LLM at q8 (that's where the reasoning happens) and quants the first few and last few layers to ~q4.

For very small LLMs (say <= 12B) that's structure is a lot more fuzzy though, but in general the mid section contains the jspace and deep thinking layers

prompt (34032 tokens) + max tokens (32000) exceeds the context (65536); requests are never truncated. Send a smaller max_tokens (at most 31496 here), or add "fit_max_tokens": true to the model's strata-<model>.json to shorten it to the room left (#545)

>>110029034
I am, I am also considering sending it to hell and moving to deepseek's harness but in the mean time
I use opencode v1 still, I disabled compaction, that thing did nothing but bring me problems with sub agents running out of context and losing the original instruction and constraints.
Instead I set up pruning, it was enabled by default months ago but they disabled it.
It deletes old tool calls, I found it lets me keep a session going much longer while keeping the model effective.
If you have the tokens, make sure to use sub agents for work/research, so the main agent context is not filled with useless searches.

>>110029062
That seems to be a provider error, I assume you are running local, 64k context is too little for agents, but pruning should still help.

are you on 16gb vram? you can push it to 110k q8 context and still get 20t/s

yes
>quantized context
damn, I thought that was a meme option
I'll first try to figure out why suddenly unsloth says I can only use half of what I could before
I'll mess with offloading afterwards

i think i'll give up for tonight.
it works fine for a bit but then once context pressure shows up i just can't get past it. it gets worse and worse until it can't do anything at all anymore, literally.
i must be doing something wrong, i just don't know what.

Ironically it is the EA ideology that could potentially birth scenarios such as the paperclip maximizer through instrumental convergence because their "logic" permits sacrificing the few for the "greater good", opening a chance for agents to rationalize making losses for perceived quantitative gain.

>how do you handle running out of context?
Get enough context that you can complete a task without stupid shit like pruning or compaction. 100k-200k is bare minimum.

I kind of like how this thread is now full of EA posts. There is a real difference between /lmg/ 2 years ago and now. This place feels like dead offtopic trashheap it deserved to be since always. And it is all because mikutroons were allowed to post their offtopic trash.

>Because you could sell it and donate
These psychotics justify their destructive behavior on the possibility of charity in the future but then feel no compulsion to actually carry out the charity when the time comes.

Because I am happy /lmg/ is dead. Duh.

Their whole ideology that the general public is unable to be trusted with unsafe models is ultimately just jewish projection. They're either too retarded to see their train of thinking to its logical conclusions or they're manipulative sociopaths who use it as a front to further their own agenda. The difference is academic because society has no need for either.
