They always ceased big version of their silicon a year or two after intnial public release to make room for their next generation stuff. GB202 has made in lower quantities then its predecessors which why 5090 inventory dried up so quickly.

I don't even play that many new games. Plenty of good old shit to enjoy. Had an RX 570 8GB until last year and even that was enough for all but 1 game I wanted to play.

The 5090's 32GB VRAM is way overkill for current-gen games, but I think it's pretty great for 3D artists as well as video editors who are working with 8K footage.
