What's the best second brain app?
>>110028629You don't need that
SI
>>110028629A little notebook in your pocket
>>110028629its impossibleno one has achieved a brain transplant of one brain because the neural grafting is just too complex and prone to incompatibility much less a transplant of two brains into one body
>>110028660this>36 thousand apps>all on the cloud>get server outage/run out of battery/in a place without signalalso its legit more cömfy to use a pen and paperno need to juggle apps, everything goes onto the same page
>>110028629Either a real notebook, or something simple, like any text editor.
emacs
>>110028629The one you vibecode yourself
>>110028643Why?
>>110028629Depends on who you ask and why.Other than that, this is not a serious enough board to both ask or answer this question seriously, just look at the replies.
>>110028819Well for me, I used to be into productivity things like this, but ultimately they feel like a waste of time and more of a thing that I did mostly because I thought it was kinda cool than because it was actually useful to me. Most things that I actually read after writing them down I wrote down into my phone's Notes app and into text files that I put into ~/Documents, while never reading anything I write down into any productivity apps
>>110028851Valid but it's skill issue.Everyone goes through it.Everyone eventually comes to the same conclusion. But without some sort of tracking, logging, and reviewing, you might as well get a menial job moving sheet of paper from one stack into another. Or picking weeds by hand in a farm field.

>>110028660>>110028710how do you retrieve something buried in stacks of little notebooks?

Consider using Dokuwiki for it.

>>110029164nah I just see a new notes app on reddit every hour
>>110028629I have no idea which one is the best. I use a folder of org-mode files for all notes and long term to-do lists. I use Emacs and git for everything else so it was convenient to start doing that. For appointments I use Google Calendar because it's easy and syncs with my phone. For the short term stuff within a day I just use a piece of paper and a pen.
>>110028629Having friends
Emacs with org mode
>>110028629emac + org. everything is inferior.
>>110032186>>110032163How do you use org mode, what's your workflow?
