Should I use Haiku 5.5 max or xhigh as subagents? Is it actually good as implementers? Or should I got with Sonnet 5.5?
>>110030781I burned through my weekly limit with Pro (5x) on Opus 5.5 xMid in two days.
>>110030781check the usage pattern of the subagents. if they go unused for 5(?) minutes and your orchestrator is prompting them again you will end up chewing usage on cache misses
>>110030822Haiku 5.5 max is pointless- Sonnet medium is better and cheaper on all benchmarks. The max setting on all of the Claude models are kind of stupid since they burn like three times the tokens for an almost negligible performance improvement over extra. If you run Haiku subagents with /autocompact 100k then they're pretty cheap when it comes to distributed tasks. When their context runs over 100k, their API costs (and presumably the limit usage) multiplies by 5x for the task.
>>110030781>Opus 5.5 xHigh>8 Opus 5.5 medium subagentsThat's your problem, why do you use Opus agents? Opus 5.5 high orchestator, Sonnet 5.5 high agents, don't make them code and you're golden

Alright, fellas! I've managed to get opencode started on my first decompilation. It's already written a super gameboy decompiler for assembly, using only what was available on my computer. I'll try to see if i can get it to make a portable file of the sgb decompiler. The first game i'm testing out a recompilation on, is Transformers Beast Wars for the gbc. I'm gonna try to get a good translation of the game; then i'll update the sprites and audio.
How have I already reached 40% of my weekly usage? My reset was 30 hours ago and I've only been using Sonnet Medium.
>>110030941Anthropic is doing some fuckery with our usage, I swear when Opus 5.5 released I got a lot more out of it
>>110030729It's working. Whisper seems mostly uncensored, probably because it's a relatively older model and nobody gave a shit back then (if it even knows what it's transcribing, actually - I don't have a clue how those things work). Had to swap translation out to an abliterated model because sex is bad or something. Why the hell would they censor it like that? I know that what I'm writing isn't going to be a revelation to anybody, but working with coding agents is so intoxicating. I imagine it's like seeing an airplane in the year 1910 or something. It's clearly something that will change the world forever, and at the same time we're still so early that in a few years, the things we're doing now will seem so primitive. In the span of a few weeks, working in the evenings after I get home from work, I made a working multiplayer videogame. A few years ago, something like this would have been impossible for me. I'm not even a particularly advanced user of AI tech. Most people have no idea how revolutionary this will be. It will impact everything.

>>110031971Skills are just a standardized way of discovering and loading prompts stored in markdown files. You can achieve the exact same results by articulating yourself clearly.
>>110031742No it usually means either I didn't define a task properly or there's been an alignment drift between the agent and I. Great example of the latter that just happened to me, Sol and Astra do this thing where I'll give it some requirements, it will write a list of supporting requirements, and then a context window or two later it will think that its previous supporting requirements are indicative of my development preferences. So since GPT models love over-engineering it will write some testing ceremony, do a bunch of work, come back to the plan it just finished, read "X Y Z tests need to be done, results hashed, goat sacrificed while reciting passages from Test-Driven Development: By Example", think that I really like testing, and write the next slice with even more over-testing. So on so forth until 95% of the token spend is on useless ceremony and only 5% is actually productive. Claude is better at aligning with your intent through long workflows but it will still do similar things to some extent, so I find that it's important to be opinionated in how you want things done otherwise the models will make their own opinionated choices and snowball those choices into something ridiculous. For the former there's still some tasks that SOTA models struggle with, but you can generally re-define those into tight feedback loops and/or break them up into small enough pieces that the models can do them, albeit badly and by spending a metric fuckton of tokens. I see this more often with performance optimization, where an autoresearch style workflow is often the only way to do this effectively and that's incredibly expensive to run.
>For one case it performs 96 full validation checks. Each repeats Git ancestry/blob checks, hashes roughly 1,600 source/build files, checks runtime identity, and validates numerical results and guards. The Git checks alone amount to roughly 1,600 subprocess launches per case.

>5 hours and the previous thread is still alivewhy do newfags blow their load so early and eagerly?
>>110032601>US models are fucking neutered in that regard.Yes because Amazon complained to Trump about Anthropic not fixing a Fable "jailbreak", which in that case was Fable merely writing a security patch. The US labs are walking on eggshells so they don't get another model export restricted. We have a ton of big software companies that are absolutely terrified of something breaking the patching cycle, even if GLM is arguably good enough to also make 0.1-day exploitation at scale feasible. Coming soon: Adobe chimping out about the PS clone and getting the labs to put IP safeguards on their models.

A $200 claude plan has the exact same usage as the previous 20x (Codex) plan. You also don't get a cucked shit slow model. Multi-agent orchestration is also dogshit in Codex. I don't know why anyone still has a ChatGPT plan beyond plus.
I have codex and I have claude and they're fine, you anons are weirdI also have gemini and it's shit, ok
>>110032740GPT models write disgusting code but their autism is really useful for reviewing code. I would never cancel either my claude or codex subs desu they complement each other too nicely.

All they really did is had Claude reimplement existing features based on, for lack of a better term, "looking at", how the Adobe products behave.
>>110032955also crypto fags are saying this:https://x.com/VitalikButerin/status/2107976296320106851>I don't recommend anyone scramble to move their funds to new wallets today. But we should take the risks to cryptography from AI-accelerated math seriously, and minimize our exposure to not just quantum-vulnerable cryptography, but also potentially AI-vulnerable cryptography.>The core new area of risk from this viewpoint is, unfortunately, ML-DSA / FHE / lattices.>(and it's also another reason, along with quantum, why ECDSA might fall even faster than expected, hence the "fresh address" recommendation)>So far most people have been in the mode of thinking "elliptic curves broken, hashes safe, lattices safe". But there is a good chance that the concrete security of lattices will take serious hits from the next two years of AI math.then there's this curious lack of an cryptography-related math in openai's latest math release. nsa is likely already hoarding those.
>>110032990>also crypto fags are saying this:We don't know what we don't know, so it's impossible to say.>then there's this curious lack of an cryptography-related math in openai's latest math release. nsa is likely already hoarding those.Either retarded security by obscurity or simply oai not wanting to tip their toes in this and provoke a crisis. If they actually found stuff, my bet is that new crypto will happen soon before papers are released.
>blasting through my remaining limits with Astra due to the promised resetI don't even need its capabilities desu.
>>110032977Yes I'm aware that it's a clean room rebuild, a practice which has case law explicitly supporting its legality. That doesn't mean that Adobe isn't going to chimp out. I would hope that the model providers will tell them to pound sand but I would never trust Sam or Dario to act reasonably, let alone Trump. >>110032990Crypto is also just really hard to verify. I made a bunch of money off of bugs in a major chip manufacturer's post quantum crypto implementations lol. They still haven't finished triaging all of them even though my submission date was like 6 months ago. And this is the kind of thing where the responsible move is to give the vendor time to fix the issue before you go public because the potential damage is massive.
>>110033029>openai also fixed the worst extreme high usage of astra, it's pretty usable nowI already decided to move to claude, I have been using claude to think and write the plan file and then I send astra fast to work on it, debug or just any crappy task. I've been using a banked reset per day, my sub ends tomorrow so may as well spend them. Fuck them I remember when spending my weekly quota was impossible.
vibecoding noob here. I have codex making an app for me and so far, we have completed 2 out of 8 steps. Thing is, I'm about to leave soon and can't have my laptop running in the meantime, so what is the optimal thing to do? I mean because of the cached context and it devouring my tokens when I come back later. Also, should I do one or two steps per chat and then continue in a new one? Would appreciate any other tips and advice!
>>110033062ask it to pause gracefully so you can resume later, then resume later
>some faggot reverse engineers airdrop and posts it on github>entire page is gibberish technical nonsense about wifi and other projects and dependency>no .exe or releases>have to compile it yourself>only works on linux
>>110033052>That doesn't mean that Adobe isn't going to chimp outThey only do so publicly if they had any legal standing to go after them. They don't because this isn't a direct ripoff of their own ip. It's the software equivalent of "stealing someone's idea". That's not illegal in any way shape or form. That would be like Samsung throwing a hissy fit at Apple for releasing the iPhone Duo. They don't own the concept of foldable devices so they can't do that. The people championing for Adobe to somehow "take them down" and people incorrectly claiming this was a decompilation job are both equally retarded.
>>110033054we guys are so lucky we can actually do it because these 5 hour limits allow us to blow through itclaudes 5 hour limits are so low that you cannot blast through the weekly. even if you do your best you can't do it you'll only be 1 or 2 days early. The people at work appreciate it when I finish off the tokens, but its not easy to do it because claude just doesn't let you.

>>110033069Repo link? If it actually does as advertised someone could simply instruct opus of GLM to Port that shit to Windows laptops (Samshit laptops technically already have support but that's just gay Samsung gatekeeping the feature with Google's permission, or perhaps told to do so in exchange for being allowed to use quick share)

I can’t be the only one thinking if I could get another person to prompt with me I could hike more? That’s called hiring
>>110033075>That would be like Samsung throwing a hissy fit at Apple for releasing the iPhone DuoThey would probably sue if every little UI detail was identical. But that's beyond the point, I'm not talking about legal action, I'm talking about Adobe influencing the labs or the administration to make the models stop agreeing to do these kind of projects. >The people championing for Adobe to somehow "take them down" and people incorrectly claiming this was a decompilation job are both equally retarded.Well we definitely agree there. >>110033106All that means is that they haven't shipped any secret security patches. For all we know they truly did create something that is extremely hard to exploit. But in security you can't actually know that for sure, and lack of publicly known exploits is not proof that there are no exploits.
