Why hasn't AI replaced more call center employees? Opus is realistically ~120IQ.

Show 08 on the graph.

Probably because the same AI is now being used as personal assistants by the retards who call these centres, so call centres are no longer needed?
>>
i swear this is the only website where so frequently do people reply with a complete lack of reading comprehension about what they're even responding to
replace this moron with a bot PLEASE >>110039112

I don't understand why but companies keep gimping their AIs to be as useless as a 1st level outsourced Indian call agent.

money
you think opus 5.5 is cheap?

because all of these companies have conditioned people to believe that automated call systems are universally terrible, because until now they all have been. This is a trust problem not a capability problem.

I'll be able to understand the clanker's accent so I guess that's a win for customers.

The graph clearly shows call centre job growth rate is negative, why because people don't need to call anymore since they have ai to answer their questions. Maybe you are the moron?

I work in a place like this for minimum wage, for a company that is owned by an Indian AI scam company. It's a terrible job but the people are nice. Apparently, we keep the call centre staff because customers hate AI shit (good), because AI isn't good enough to replace us yet (debatable), and because the human touch makes everything a lot better (true). However, the real reason call centres aren't replacing everyone with AI, in my conspiracy-minded opinion, is that the government doesn't want literally millions of people to all lose their jobs overnight. Especially in America, where you probably live since you can't spell "centre", where petrol prices are still offending Trump voters and he needs to not let things get any worse before the midterm elections.

I work at one of the largest call centers in the world. We are process of switching stuff over to more AI models but phone calls are insanely complex, just connecting the call from telephony to the voice bot is fucking absurd, it blows me away that any of it works at all. Then there are the agents themselves. Opus 5.5 can take a super complex playbook and do well but that would be insanely expensive. Also you can't even use those models, Google DialogFlow is limited to 3.1 Flash-lite lol. Microsoft's call product is little better. xAI has some custom solution but the scale is limited. On top of that, the business units want calls to flow in very specific ways that are out of IT's hands which means you are back to mostly deterministic bots with some AI classifiers.
