<n recent years, AI has made it much easier to create new websites and tools. That also applies to pirate sites, including TorrentClaw, a torrent search engine that’s largely built with AI. The site's TrueSpec feature, for example, checks what’s inside torrents. The results reveal a recurring malware trick, where a genuine VLC player is used as a decoy to load a malicious file. https://torrentfreak.com/ai-built-torrent-site-looks-inside-downloads-to-catch-fakes-and-malware/

uh, okay? in 25 years of torrenting i've never gotten a virus or malware
>>110043384>in 25 years of torrenting i've never gotten a virus or malwareyeah but you have to admit, AI is going to make piracy better and easier by accelerating the development of piracy sites, software, and stuff that would have taken a whole team to develop
>>110043380>The results reveal a recurring malware trick, where a genuine VLC player is used as a decoy to load a malicious file.what does that mean? file.mp4.exe?
>>110043393there's nothing new worth pirating though...
>>110043403>there's nothing new worth pirating though...then why do millions of people still pirate?go away gramps
>>110043407guessing they require their slop to function? when was the last good movie released? like 2010? last good tv show? 2000? video game? probably late 90s
>>110043380Why does every site made with ai look the same
>>110043411Even if you only care about old content, why not use AI to make public torrent sites even better curated, more organized, and malware-free?
>>110043407braindead 3rd worlders that eat hollywood slop don't really count
>>110043418any reputable site is already malware free. did you make this or something? you're awfully defensive
>>110043425>any reputable site is already malware free.Sure, but AI always improves things by automating the simple stuff that takes human time away from staff.

>>110043510>I just tested the site and its missing vast amounts of legit stuffso is every new sitegive it time
>>110043403There is nothing old being pirated, period. I am trapped in 0 seed hell
>>110044379>There is nothing old being pirated, period.bullshit. there's a lot being seeded on public trackers, but you need to use private trackers to find all the old content.
for the past few weeks now I've been seeing blatant virus torrents flood several torrent sites and many sites being affected by heavy DDOS attacks. It's not even been subtle. Nyaa for some reason has faced a lot of these attacks and account hijacks and takeovers With a new site being launched that now claims to filter out any malware torrents by default it just makes me completely suspicious and even more paranoid of it
>>110044949seems like a natural evolution. all sites will have to eventually protect themselves from malware.
Finally, some use. Unironically I think VirusTotal should follow the same path since Microsoft loves to spam Crapilot ads everywhere.
