>>110047694WOW BRO
>>110047694DIY PC component prices have nothing to do with how much corporations buy them for and use them on prebuilt desktops and laptops
>>110047765layoff workersnow need to buy/upgrade less computers per worker
>>110047765Not wrong.Retail RAM prices were massively inflated compared to what a Dell or Lenovo would have paid. That being said it only makes the situation worse. If corporate and consumer PC sales are this down over what is pretty mild price increases then the DIY segment likely has it much worse.
>>110048013DIY assembling (you're not building a computer) is pretty much dead at this point and whatever new GPU/CPU releases will be a halo product in very limited supply
>>110047684> Asus - down -6.6%> Asus - down -17.6%Explain further
>>110047684It's not dead, you just have to save up for an extra like year or two before you can afford what you used to be able to afford. I feel like it's slowed down considerably but it's not done.
>>110048315>you just have to save up for an extra like year or twoAre you indian??
>>110048315There are still people willing the pay the new prices. For me they're well past reasonable.Luckily I'm on a modern build and won't have to upgrade for a long time
Big tech is going through a crisis. If no one can afford PCs and smartphones, how are they going to continue harvesting and selling our data?
in 2023 i purchased a Dell inspiron with a Zen 3 Ryzen 7 for about $300. i then proceeded to upgrade it with a 4TB nvme SSD, a 4TB SATA SSD and 64GB of DDR4.i upgraded from a Dell Latitude with a Core 2 Quad with 4GB of RAM AND A 1Tb SSD that I had been using since 2007.I plan to use this laptop for at least 15 years as well. btw the Core 2 Quad is still a great Windows 7 and Minecraft laptop for offline use.
>>110047684>down only 20%holy fuck cucksumers will take anything
>>110048475Corpos buy up a lot of supplies.
>>110048102presumbly one of them's ASRock
>>110047684why do you need a new laptop? I ran an early access steam game with advanced physics simulation on my 2012 stinkpad and it ran at 60 fps after lowering the graphics settings
>>110048503ASRock and Pegasus are completely separate entities from Asus at this point. That was done decades afo to rob about 50,000 baby boomer employees of their pension by unloading them onto the spin-off companies so they are no long AsusTek employees. It’s a really fucking shitty bit of history.
Buying my laptop in 2023 feels like catching the last chopper out of Saigon
>>110047684Good, nobody would buy overpriced garbage with under 96GB ram.I hope they realize that.
>>110047684macbook is simply the best
>>110047765The opportunity cost of not selling to the highest bidders (datacenters/aicorps) was still very high, even the big companies have issues with procurement.
I'm afraid to sell a 120gb ssd that is laying around, this shit is ridiculous when are these kikes getting hanged ?
>>110047694so the goyim won't own anything more than a smartphone ( not like they even know how to properly enter into the bios screen without paying someone to that for them ).They have the money to cover these companies without letting them go under, the only answer is to destroy data centers ( and put a 9mm on altman's head )
My PC keeps getting better with age
>>110048966that pic is unironically crazy bruh
>>110047694PC component being cheap was a compromise IBM made back in the 80s so people would become reliant on a computer. Now is the very good time to get people to get used to owning nothing
>>110048966It's hilarious how the text becomes smaller as you go down.
>>110047684>>110047694>less expensive gaming laptops models go for around $2000 with only 8gb of vram
>>110048390>how are they going to continue harvesting and selling our data?By people that continue using their ""old devices""are you jewish or just retarded? new phones being unaffordable doesn't mean people will ditch their existing ones and stop big tech from surveillance
I remember looking at alienware x14s just a few years ago with 32GB LPDDR5 and RTX 4080s for $2100 and thinking that was stupid expensive and now similar spec is $6000
>>110050157It's still overpriced either way.Only a madman wants to deal with the>WHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRR
i just whatever can run a web browser and play a doom source port. i am a simple man. if playing doom becomes unaffordable maybe then i will panic.
>>110047694FPBP, /thread, OP is a faggot. Did I miss anything?
>>110047684>Dell - down -25.0%I remember telling people this demand is not elastic, but would anyone listen? No.But how did I know? Nobody is flaunting their tech crap gadgets. People are noping right out.
