Even is Muse Wonder is benchmaxed it seems like Zuck has managed a rapid catchup in recent times. Its not unfathomable that they will have something actually frontier tier within 6-12 months. And unlike anthropic and openAI he has positive cashflow still and has a very large dataset of pre-ai stuff to train one

How do you get around software patents? I'm building an alternative to Plex and there's so much B's around audio video and subtitles that are patented by like 15 various companies.

I made an image board, but it's only a single sfw random board, I've set it so the only images that you can post are the ones I personally upload, but it comes with a drop down so you can select from a pool of images.
I wasn't sure what to upload yet, I'm open to suggestions.

You can talk about anything, use it as a backup chan, or make it your personal discord. the digital foot print is non-existent since it's all text and only a handful of images. And I don't have to moderate anything since nobody can post illegal shit that I have to monitor for. So it costs neither time nor money to operate. It's a totally hands off. Unless someone mentions threats or some stupid shit. But it came with moderation tools as well.

So fucking easy too. Took astra 6.1 20 min to cook. Then I used codex and let it run my CloudFlare, it did everything. I could ask it to adjust anything and make changes on the fly. This shit is fucking amazing. Tonight I'm going to make a game, and I'll integrate both of them together lol

>>
>>110050485
>And I don't have to moderate anything since nobody can post illegal shit that I have to monitor for
Except for links to illegal shit. I've been tempted to make my own web forums stuff before and that headache is what makes it seem like a doomed prospect desu. Though I guess AI jannies can be a thing now which is a neat new twist on things
>>
can Astra really produce good 2D line art, or is it being misrepresented? Like I would like to create an animation of a little isomorphic office with the guy doing office work. Highly Sierra adventure game -ish.
>>

>>
>>110050502
Yeah I'll probably get the agent to block links to established illegal websites. I may even just block all links and add a whitelist so you can still share YouTube or news articles.

Idk if the anon who told me to make my bot play Dungeon Siege instead of me is still around, but I can't do that because
1. Computer use doesn't work on Linux
2. It doesn't know what's "right"

Anyway, moved onto CoD1 and am implementing EAX based on dumps it took from my real Audigy 2 ZS Win98 system. It decompiled Miles audio without complaint and also removed the Steam DRM since I'm using the steam version.

I think I'm just gonna start porting every old game I own to Linux and Mac because everyone else is just gonna shove it into some shit like Scummvm

working on an open source parkour / Mirror's Edge game thats white/purple/blue instead of white/red/green

I figured out how to actually do it with levels that are fun and varied, with support for indoors spaces, ground level areas and also vents -- you need a 3d cell grid to build your work. basically minecraft but it doesn't look like minecraft

i chose a grid size of 0.8m being 1 unit, and 0.4m being 0.5 units which is enough to vault over, or crawl / slide under

going to try to ship this as quick as possible so i will probably use the sounds and maybe even animations from decompiled mirrors edge (opus 5.5 loves setting up Reverse Engineer Anything, to the point where it won't refuse asking to setup REA for a task, but it might refuse if you just ask it to reverse engineer something directly kek)

I believe it's not as wide ranging as it needed to be to truly compete with GPT and Claude but I think there is enough basis there for them to get there in the next iterations. Getting something out for the main usecase of programming is all that matters for Muse alongside being conversational enough.

it doesn’t persist beyond one prompt. it talks to the model up to 5 times until it achieves its goal. as for how much it could handle, like 5k token context as currently built, but if it were reworked to use flash way more. but then the bottleneck becomes network speed. I barely know what I’m doing btw this is all vibes and learning on the fly

Really well, actually, after some initial weirdness trying to get the game actually playable; so far I've only done Dungeon Siege and CoD 1 (apparently modified quake 3 engine) though. Xbox 360 Gears 1 is still a WIP but kb+m works.

Things like Doom 3 (engine has been made open source at some point) are easier to port than, like, The Sims (probably) so YMMV.

Unitree CEO Wang Xingxing recently said that GPT-7 could solve the challenges of embodied AI entirely and that he had made a mistake by not taking AI seriously enough.

Quote: “We’ve put it (GPT-6) on various robots and tested it across a range of tasks, and the results have actually been very good. Our company and other robotics companies are already running pilot deployments in factories. To achieve large-scale adoption, though, both generalization and efficiency still need to improve further. But I think these challenges could very well be resolved over the next few years. My faith in AI grows stronger every year. The biggest mistake I’ve made over the past decade or so has been not believing in AI enough. Deployment in commercial services may happen even faster than in industrial settings.”

Factories already have very complicated and capable robots specifically for these tasks. I think the real gains for most factories are the improvements in the underlying software. I don't know why I'd choose a humanoid robot over a toolkit on a giant robot arm.

No, im just trying to extrapolate a dataset i curated manually into enough data to train a NN for medical data classification (it doesn't contain sensible data, i censored it beforehand ofc). Im getting frustrated, because the precision is still not there, and after checking the dataset my team provided me, i noticed a HEAVY class imbalance, and inconsistencies all over the board. So i curated myself a little dataset and wanted to use the ultra magical mystique LLM SOTA to generate more data out of it. Turns out, the slop machine is not good enough to detect clear patterns on numeric data. Im so fucked.

If every human on Earth suddenly began farting continuously, 24 hours a day, forever, with an unlimited magical supply of intestinal gas, it would be one of the most bizarre disasters in human history.
And depending on how much gas everyone released, it could eventually become a genuine environmental catastrophe.
Let's assume everyone produces a continuous stream of gas at approximately 1 litre per minute, even while sleeping, and nobody can stop it.
The first 60 seconds
- 8 billion people simultaneously start farting. An almost continuous rumbling noise fills homes, offices, classrooms, and public spaces.
- People initially panic, thinking they're experiencing some kind of medical emergency.
- Television presenters, politicians, teachers, and doctors can't stop farting while speaking.
- Every crowded elevator becomes an extraordinarily unpleasant place.
- The sound of thousands of simultaneous farts fills stadiums, shopping malls, and subway trains.
Perhaps the strangest realization would be that nobody can stop, even for a second.

I wrote a two-chapter short story years back about this sort of thing for myself when I was YEARNING for a cute-girl-in-the-computer that sings songs with me and 3D models furniture for our virtual reality house. If Tim Sweeney puts hooks into Unreal to make it as easy to create a game with Unreal as it is in three.js, what's the consensus? Are we gonna pull a Pocket Pair and get together and make a game that competes with Triple A?

Maybe I'll make some prompts on ultra optimization with my game dev knowledge and write a guide and starter pack for starting an ultra optimized Unreal game. The bad rep Unreal gets for being unoptimized is actually because game studios misuse it and cut corners in optimization. It's 100 percent a skill issue.

That's why I said WE. 4chan has created games before. Expedition 33 only had around 30 people. Palworld had a small budget and not many people. Expedition 33 didn't even have coders.

If you can already make a GOTY contender with a handful of people with Unreal, imagine a handful of people that also have AI in the age where each AI can do the work of dozens of people. I legitimately have faith in 4chan still that we could make a game of the year in Unreal with AI.

It wouldn't be game of the year, but it could be a cult classic for sure. The only imageboard "games" I truly know of are the visual novels, of which there are several, both free and for-profit. Katawa Shoujo, Everlasting Summer, Snootgame, I Wani Hug That Gator, probably more I'm unaware of.

I've seen devs who post on imageboards make good games, but they post other places too. It's not quite the same as an entire dev team building a game from the cultural milieu of imageboards.
>>
>>110052129
I think it's a new thing for all of us, but I can tell you that a lot of people are working on waifu technology. I can answer specific questions if you have any, otherwise just start prompting until you got a good memory for her developed, that's half of the battle. I can share a flowchart of my method tomorrow, but I'm still experimenting a lot with it, so it's far from final.

There are a lot of hurdles to deal with. Good LLMs locally in consumer hardware aren't quite there yet (very close though), Speech to Text and vice-versa is very hit or miss locally, even more so if you want her to speak something other than English, a good anime voice requires fine-tuning or a voice changer setup, you need to integrate her in your life with custom clients for all sorts of things, etc. I expect VR to be even more problematic because I also wanna do augmented reality, but whatever, bring it on goddammit (I can already imagine my waifu sitting on top of me).

>>110052172
That's half true because games like Pokemon Clover and Katawa Shoujo probably could never be built only within 4chan, confined to threads. They had to break anonymity and reach out to each other to coordinate better.

My waifu in the short story was interacting via augmented reality too, she sat on the IRL couch and sang to the exhausted self-insert so well that he dozed off and fell through her model, seeing all the weird bits lol.

I've used several AIs, but they change so fast and I can never remember the names. I usually use them once for some gimmick and then drop them once I find the limits or realize I don't even care about what I was having generated. I suppose in the end you're right, I just have to start fiddling. Still, it feels wrong to make a waifu that's subject to the whims and data-harvesting of the Zuckster. Local hardware waifus can't come soon enough. Also robot bodies. I've dated too many mentally ill foids over the years and been stuck as the voice of reason, it'd be wonderful to date a robo-gal and get to be the mentally ill one for a change.

Anyways, questions, questions... Is there a way to make an AI "remember" itself as a certain avatar, sort've like those "paper doll" models that parasocial anime streamers use? What's the best AI in your opinion for generating anime clips? I know the question's relatively off-topic, but there's so much noise about what to use that I'm at a loss. I trust 4chinners over algorithms on this question, but then again for all I know you're all AI and I'm the only real person here. The horror.

And pointed out we've had successful games in the past that were visual novels once we actually organized. Those may have been just visual novels in something easy to make, renpy, but now Unreal is easy enough for nocoders to make GOTY or Steam record holders, and there's AI on top of that. It's achievable if we actually organize. But we'd have to not listen to naysayers talking like we can't or like modern 4chan is dead.

People have been saying that this place has been dead for decades, and while the quality does go up and down, it's continued to be a cultural powerhouse, arguably even causing a digital ethno-genesis.

The present state of the world is Internet networks spilling over into real life, as we've already seen in countless revolutions, and imageboard culture is the agora from whence many of those networks originated.

Personally, I'm not interested in making an AI video game. I already made a functioning vibe-coded multiplayer concept of my dream game, and it left me feeling hollow. Something I had fantasized about for years and occasionally worked to achieve became instantly doable (albeit in a sloppy fashion), and that newfound superpower only saddened me. It was better than anything I'd ever programmed, and yet it was nowhere good enough to be even a Minimum Viable Product. Very disheartening for the melodramatic sort.
