The idea that "linux is good for programming" is laughable bullshit pushed by Linux shills.
In linux, to even get started developing a software project you have to manually put a bunch of .c files into a folder and manually write out a bunch of archaic GNU configuration files for your shitty autoconf/automake build system, which runs a bloated 10000 line shell script (which includes compatibility for shitty unix systems that are so old that they literally don't exist anymore). Every time you want to build your project for testing you have to type ./configure followed by a bunch of options, followed by make -j4, and then make install and then finally you can test your changes.
Meanwhile, on macOS you just install Xcode and then you can instantly make a project and write out some code (it even gives you an example hello world template app if you're a noob) and everything JustWerks™.

I think it's born of the fact that it will just download or your FOSSshit dependencies for you. On Windows (or macOS for that matter), you're likely dealing with high-quality, third-party licenced libraries, so "just pull 'em off a random HTTP server" isn't really an option.
Then there's the fact that macOS and Windows development environments are light-years ahead of freetard crap - and as such, don't run on the fourth-hand ewaste that Linux users are notorious for being stuck with.

When I say that, I mean compared to Windows. Also, I'm under the impression that nobody writes new projects in C in Windows and macOS environments, that seems to be a GNU/Linux thing.

I didn't anticipate that H1B abolishment would hit Apple shilling quality this hard

I dunno, love the compiler chain on *nix. Works out of the box. Skipped reading the rest of that AI generated OP.
