i don't get it. everyone says google is shit at AI
>>110056600Well Argon is atrocious and Fable 5.5 is coming out this week.
>>110056600They were. It’s just like how Chrome was a complete joke when it first came out and now dominates everything.
>>110056698Anthropic and OpenAI only have theoretical infinite money until the shareholders stop pumping, meanwhile Google has actual infinite money from their core business to catch up and then run past them
>>110056732still doesn't explain why everyone is so sure they will win in the next 2 weeks
>>110056600>i don't get it. everyone says google is shit at AIMost used because it self injects into every search.Define "number 1", certainly not in reply quality, more like reply quantity.
>>110056732>theoretical infinite moneyThat's where you wrong. It's the same excuse boosters used for any bubble in history, usually at the top.>>110056747They're the only ones that have their own hardware, in the last few years they didn't get much fab capacity and it might have changed.
>>110056600if Google are so "good at AI" then why are they $320 billion down and that hole is getting bigger?
>>110056600the polymarket bet resolves based on ranking on arena.ai, a slopped website with zero authoritygoogle's models are shit at coding and so is argon
>>110056830The bigger the hole gets the better the AI, lern2economics chud.
>>110056645>Fable 5.5 is coming out this weeknot doubting you, but source?
>>110056732it's not about money, it's about training. Google have a massive advantage compared to Anthropic/OpenAI, it's that they can train their models on billions of users on various different devices and different aspect of their life.
It's like that fable you heard as a kid (in a 1st world nation), the tortoise and the hare. One is slow but will eventually make it to its destination. The other is fast but sleepy. Google doesn't have to compete with anyone but itself. It just will make gradual improvements before achieving dominance and control in the AI world. It's already entrenched in schools and business. Plus it's free. Meanwhile, open AI and anthropic keep making fools out of themselves promising the end of the world. It's clear who will win by the end.
>>110056698Chrome was never a joke, it was just pointless because of firefox. But google used their status to kill firefox by changing the web standards every day for 2 weeks straight, which caused people to jump to chrome because "why is youtube broken in firefox and why is youtube telling me I should use chrome?"
What did you expect? Google and Apple are 100 years ahead they just don't release their cool shit.
>>110056862
>>110056732Google has negative money for the first time ever because they've burned it all and continue to burn it on ai.
>>110056600People shitting on Google's AI are the AI equivalent of the luddite retards here who never tried anything past GPT 3 4 years ago. But instead they're still hung up on bad Gemini releases from 2 years ago to justify shitting on it.
>>110056600>argon released>it’s worse than opus>fable 5.5 soonlol ok
>>110056942every single flash they released was garbageagy is garbagegemini app is hilariously garbagein short: google is garbage
>>110056935is that guy a reliable source?regardless, sounds like an exciting month for vibe coding, i'm already quite happy with opus 5.5 and it will be interesting to see how much better fable 5.5 can be
>>110056600We are testing aws quick which is designed to work as business data AI. Even amazon says it is for that and a generic llm. So even Quick is better than gemini enterprise. Google went downhill so fast
>>110057073*and not generic AI.
>>110056600Why wouldn't you just mute @Polymarket and use your ad blocker to ensure you never accidentally see any of their slop?
Thinking about how fucking strange it is that all these AI companies can stay competitive with each other, when the scientific breakthroughs are obviously going to be extremely obtuse unique programming approaches that are constantly happening...But then it occurred to me it's probably extremely easy for rival companies to just bribe each other's employees for information, lol. It looks like that's the key secret ingredient to the success of capitalism: stealing each other's information to stay competitive. But hey, the system works.
I use it because it does the job just fine and I don't see the point in registering at yet another meme company when I'm already registered at the one that just werks.Guess it's the same for most other people.
>>110056830>Only the shovel and pickaxe merchants are making 10x profit
>>110056600Polymarket metric for best AI is arena.ai next .You should mute anyone linking to Polymarket on the internet and attack on sight in person.
>>110056830That’s legit affordable for Google
>>110057540This. All the secrets are being shared between big tech companies. There's no secrecy in Silicone Valley. The HBO show was a documentary, not satire.
>>110056600google has a web broswer and the rest of the ai don'tif fire fox has their own ai then they would of already wongoogle ai is still shit tier
>>110057745Firefox isn't a web browser. It's Google's regulation compatibility solution.
Google put out a line of open models and I fucking applaud them for it. I don't really care about their """frontier"'" crap, mostly because it's not good enough for actual frontier shit, yet not freely available so why bother.
>>110057791do any of these free models include any image generators? i've been meaning to start shitting out AI made games
>>110057540lmao they read my post and found a leaker
