With adblock origin soon to be removed from edge, I am once again looking for an alternative. I'm this close to Firefox but I need to find the negatives. Is drm an issue if I don't watch netflix? Anything I'll miss from edge? Website compatibility? Looking for things most users wouldn't notice whether it's a pro or a con of switching
>>110057269Fuck meant ublock origin
>>110057269If you are from edge pretty much everything is an improvement. Also firefox is pretty good theese days, atleast I havent had any real issues
>>110057269I'm in same boat, also curious>>110057306not if you depend on support for MV2 add-ons Browser: MV2 support?========================firefox: yes, foreseeable futurebrave: they host like 4 total MV2 extensions on its own servers but only for "as long as feasible". 1 of the 4 is ublock origin, but MV2 support is otherwise removed & so not a solution for meOpera: No. "Existing installs only, for now"; “for as long as technically reasonable.”Vivaldi: temporarily. has indicated long-term support may not be viable.Chrome: NO. MV2 removed from the Web Store Aug 31 2026) and disabled in current versions.Edge: No consumers by end of 2026. Works now but phasing outEdge was an option because of the MV2 support. But with edge taking it away too, not a lot of options... really only firefox. Maybe there are some smaller browsers that have it? not sure.
>>110057269>Is drm an issue if I don't watch netflix?Adblocks are no no for good goyim who like their DRMs. Keep your Jewish subscription and obey to whatever Widevine L1 Arm TrustZone DRM they apply for 4K escapist consumerist Hollywood nonsense.
What happens when Mozilla stops supporting it too
>>110057720We will vibecode a browser that supports it
>>110057744why would you vibecode a browser that supports v2?why not start over with a better extension interface?
>>110057720They won't.
>>110057269If you want to stay using chromium then Brave with uBO lite is pretty good. Not perfect but good enough. It's what I use and don't really miss uBO.Firefox is still the best in that regard but I can't be bothered into using gecko browsers, it sucks so fucking much.
>>110059399Can you elaborate on the gecko thing? Are webpages STILL incompatible with Firefox (or vice versa)
>>110057269Edge is rock solid and stable. The rewards and Bing search is a plus too. Want to find something? Just Bing it lol. Firefox is trannyslop anyways.
