It's just a matter of recording human VR data, then giving it to a chatbot via NN. The bundling in an LLM and hooking it to an existing smart home system like an alexa. They would not at all be competent, but would be a walking and talking program you could interact with in AR space.

Keep in mind these kinds of human text interface chatbots have been around since the 1960's with Eliza.

If net navi's existed the reality is people would instantly make horny characters or ironic shitpost ones for no other reason but to torture them. Then they would laugh when their alexa-sona tries to delete itself.
