fake news or real news
>>110061227lying directly to your face. duckduckgo is just microsoft in disguise, use a VPN
>i cant see your ip, but here's a local store half a mile from you where you can buy laptop ram that you were asking about
>>110061287kek
>>110061227Of course the server knows your (or your proxy) IP
low quality trhread
>>110061287Half a mile isn't even a stretch, it offhandedly mentioned the hardware store I live down the road from when I was asking it for plumbing help. What's interesting is it pinpointed the much smaller independent store instead of the home depot which was only slightly further away (in a different direction). If you're going off IP range alone you can't know which one is closer to the user, so choosing to mention the smaller store would be a very irrational decision.I'm not surprised openai knows my street address after I've asked chatgpt random questions a few times in my browser, but it was a little offputting. If you're trying to gather as much personal data as possible, don't just go and reveal your entire hand like that. Maybe chatgpt just wanted to humble me and remind me I'm its plaything (hot)
I don't trust the duck. It's supposed to be an uncensored AI but they refuse to answer certain questions. You have to accept vague terms and conditions before asking it a question. Compared to most other AI's it doesn't sound close to a human either.
so many retardsthe llm never sees your ip, it just gets your prompt, even though google services of course know your ip, your favorite food and what each wrinkle on you ballsack looks like
>>1100612271- the llm sees your prompt, your ip isn't in the prompt.2- duckduckgo acts as proxy and strips all user info before forwarding the request to bing or here chatgpt, so chatgpt would only see duck's proxy ip anyway.

>>110061227Your reading comprehension and inference: 0
>>110061287retard it accesses an api to query your geo localization
>>110061227These LLMs regularly tell me they have no idea what country I'm in, but then consistently bring up my country unprovoked
>>110062279>It's supposed to be an uncensored AIIt's not. It's supposed to be a PRIVATE AI. It supposedly doesn't keep tabs on you. Otherwise they're running regular models. OP is using ChatGPT.
>>110065671When i was asking around for good ai's i got recommended duck for being both uncensored and privacy oriented. I haven't read their tos but it seems strange to ask users to accept that upon simply asking a question, looked like a data miner
>>110066144If you want something uncensored, you need to run a local model. At least it won't phone home.
>>110066167Venice seems quite uncensored and private, i'm sure there's some others too. But yeah local models are probably the best although with higher thresholds to use and get into.
why would they tune this into the model? if its sent through an API they have your IP
what should i use instead of duckgogo
ask it what time it is
>they dont use noai.duckduckgo.comalready switched all my browsers default search to thisshould be the default default but anywayjust wanted to point out to you newbs this was possible
>>110065213And what parameters does this api require to find my location? Could it be an ip address perchance?
