Can AI really replace intellectual contemporary artists without any long term repercussions to how we actually study and master the arts? Like what motivates an engineer or an architect to pickup a pencil or Wacom tablet and learn to draw tech stuff when Claude could do that better?

main motivation is money, or if you are autistic and want to advance that field. Now you have to actually be better than ai to advance the field, that eliminates many people. I am sure some truly smart ones will still make progress

do you think it is easier to oneshot a clanker for hitlerian classical art or your picrel's abstract masterpiece? ai can do old and busted but not true, expressive modern art.

>that eliminates many people
sure but something goes wrong like a bridge goes down and kills 9000 people, who is responsible for the design failures? Codex and Claude?
