Casio F91W is the ThinkPad of watches. (20 bucks)
A158 (30 - 80 bucks depending on model) is an upgrade because it has a metal bracelet and slightly thicker back cover.
A159 (80 bucks) is the same as 158 but made in Japan.

The fun thing is that between the above you can mix and match braclelets, straps, etc. And there are many aftermarket mods.

Look into Sensorwatch board mod or Ollee Watch board mod.
