If they were making a profit that would be the number they would be headlining. Since it's not, that means they:

A) Don't have profit
B) The profit is so low that it would actually do more harm than good if they published the number

Anthropic has a current valuation of $965 billion dollars. So even if that $16.8 billion in revenue was 100% profit it would take them 57 years to break even for their investors.
