If I gotta say something positive about shitposters and bot posts, is that they're forcing me to git gud at regex.
>>110068209I just did regex pzzles for a few days. Shits ezpz
you can't outsmart them with that kek I gave up and I just hide posts and thread manually and ignore the rest. It's easy to tell which replies are genuine and ignore the rest
>>110068500Filtering iPhone/facebook/twitter/discord/AI filenames have made the site a lot more bearable, even if slower.
>>110068728nta can you post the regex please
>>110068728hmm, you're right, that might be worth trying out. I noticed those filenames too but sometimes I download images and keep the original filename and I know many other people do the same (even though I don't use twitter or a phone) so I didn't want to hide false positives but I know it'd make the experience smoother.
>>110068764>/.{8}-.{4}-.{4}-.{4}-.{12}.*/>/FB_IMG_\d{13}/>/IMG_\d{4}/
>>110068786thank you
>>110068764NTA but in case he doesn't deliver work with an AI to create regexes for these types of filenames and ask it where the fuck they come from because I forgot. Just grabbed a few from /pol/:IMG_20261014_224258_418.jpgIMG_d5f31733-f82e-44e0-a2a1-7263ea3bc091.jpgIMG_2475.jpgScreenshot_20231008_190240_Chrome.jpg<GUID/UUID based>.extension>>110068786Cool, thanks.
>>110068786>>110068820i also see a lot of>images.pngand variations like>images (1).jpgwhere could it be from?or is it like a clipboard thing
>>110068891I thought file.<ext> is for when people paste images from the clipboard. Let me give this a try with 4chanx but first I'll turn off>Randomize Filename: Set the filename to a random timestamp within the past year. Disabled on /f/.
>>110068891Also I think that's a phoneposter format. I have some images.<extension> files on my phone that I downloaded using the chrome browser
>>110068891so file.jpg was when I dragged and dropped the image and file.png is when I copied in explorer.exe and pasted it here. I dunno if banning image pasters makes a lot of sense since I do it all the time.
>>110068209Filters make browsing this place much more pleasant and less wasteful and yeah it made me learn lookaround properly. Highlighting posts that are of special interest is also nice.
