That makes disgusting watery trash.>out of production high pressure steam bombs with failing emergency relief valves > moka > mug+cofee in microwave > chewing raw cofee > water > new coffee machines > that shit in OP
>>110070895>>110070934>>110070993t. energy drink enjoyers
I just always cold brewed
Just eat the coffee beans directly bro
>>110071342I did it once with some sugar when I had to leave my house and didn't have time to make a coffee. I mean it worked as far getting the caffeine in my body, but I'd rather have a coffee if I can.

Tea>Coffeeno, coffee is not good for you, enjoy your kidney stones.
>>110070885Coffee/Tea elitists are mentally ill. Just put the grounded beans/teabag in boiling water. Brewing at midnight during the fullmoon on top of an altar for an elf god doesnt change the fucking taste you morons.
I don't understand, how do I turn this into an always online subscription service
>double espresso shot from dark roasted beans straight intp a mug with cold milkyep it's coffee time

>>110072245>teabagretardit's literal leftover dust that is sold to absolute retards imagine drinking dust and dirt that sticks to your throat once you finish the cupjust get cheap vietnamese oolong leafs, it's cheaper than dustbags because you get more cups out of few leafs
>>110070885A standard coffee maker does literally exactly this at the push of a button
>>110072245I can tell you never had a proper tea before because I used to think like that until I got a care package from a business relationship in Japan. Nothing beats real leaves from a proper plantation not some commercial operation. I fucking get tea elitists and even coffee elitists by extension now.
Still the best
>>110072245>teabagLiterally sweepings off the floor. Teabags are generally the lowest quality leftovers from much higher quality leaves that go into whole leaf teas in either more expensive teabags or as loose leaf large bags.>>110073293Right, loose leaf tea bought right at the store on some plantation in Alishan in Taiwan is going to be miles away from a teabag of Lipton.
>>110072224I never understood why it has to be a competition or an either/or situation. I have a cabinet crammed with teas and a cabinet crammed with coffee. I have a pour over, french press (small and large one), moka pot, and espresso machine, and of course a grinder with fine grind control (size and speed, I also have a hand grinder I started out with and used for years that I no longer use). I also have a more western tea set and a traditional Chinese gaiwan style set.I enjoy all of it, and its not uncommon for me to drink coffee and tea in the same day. Though I can't quite say I enjoy all the methods equally. For coffee, I use the pour over the most (virtually every day), and the moka the least. I find the moka annoying to clean and the coffee is often quite stout and sometimes ashy no matter how I grind it. Pour over is great because of its control, I get to control the grind, the temperature, and how long the pour takes.I think what causes some people to react like >>110070895>>110072245Is they see all these social media faggots who act like if you don't drop thousands of dollars you're missing the best cup of coffee ever. The reality is you can get a sick ass coffee setup for like 50 dollars between an adjustable hand grinder and a v60 (or literally any v60 knock off).
>>110070885Hand still looks wrong.
>>110073323>Teabags are generally the lowest quality leftoversI'll bet tea bags account for more than 90% of tea sold outside China.I agree it's generally shit quality but it's not leftovers, farms deliberately grow shit tea to sell to shit Europeans.
>>110073323>Right, loose leaf tea bought right at the store on some plantation in Alishan in Taiwan is going to be miles away from a teabag of Lipton.Dude tell me about it, the best green tea I've ever had came from a plantation in Taiwan with a close second from Vietnam lmao
>>110072245You can enjoy anything without being an elitist. You just need decent tea or coffee and put a bit of time into it.

>>110075061>plastic bottlepfff
been on this for months, much more stable and easier to control dosage.
>>110070885Use case for doing this over a regular drip machine? This is just taking instant coffee prep (boiling water) and then doing the entire rest of the process as if it were a drip machine.
>>110070934What's wrong ahmed? Not halal enough?
>>110075927The two main things you get with doing a pour over is you get to control bloom time and you control overall brew time.If you have a drip machine with those capabilities, I'd imagine it can basically be the same. There are some drip machines that let you control brew profiles that way, and even have more complex methods to drip (like a drip bar, or a shower style grate, etc). The other thing is that I only drink one coffee a day usually. I don't want a whole pot of coffee. Of course the biggest advantage to a machine is you can set it on a timer so you wake up with coffee already brewed. That's hard to beat for some people with limited time.
>>110072277Milk is for fags.
>>110070885Squat, more like it.
Shit hasn't changed since 1991, alrhough apparently they broke down and finally replaced the mechanical thermostat with a PID this year.
>>110075989>bloom time and brew timeIt's coffee.
>>110076412Yes, and coffee comes in many different varieties and roasts. If you just dump all your hot water on it without letting it absorb any, you can get a really shitty weak brew on some light roasts because they have long bloom times. This is precisely how you get people saying "this coffee tastes likes hit" when they try anything that's not Folgers in a drip machine.Like lets jump to tea. If you say "its tea" when talking about brew time, you'd throw a pu'er in a pot and let it steep for 3 minutes and get a foul liquid. Pu'er literally brews in a gaiwan for maybe 10 seconds before you drink it because it brews incredibly fast (due to all the slow fermentation and drying over the years).
>>110076165Based Gaggia Classic enjoyer. I have an aftermarket PID on mine (person I bought it from installed it). Its a real workhorse of a machine.
>>110076938I will tell you that if you switch to distilled water, you never have to descale. Wish I'd known that before.
Tea bags are a huge source of micro plastics. Don't use tea bags.
>>110075927No plastic or aluminium in contact with hot waterJust glas, stainless steel and a paper filter

>>110073231Yep and the sachets are usually bleached and give the drink a chemical taste, I mostly drink hot cocoa now, lemon balm or melissa tea is tasty though I need to get some again
>>110070885for me it's the clever dripper, water first and then grounds. found nothing easier that produces better results.

>>110083583honestly good enough for milk drinks, i always keep some.
>>110075061>>110086172About a decade ago Silicon Valley types started promoting drinking "raw water", untreated water from natural sources. Juicero founder Doug Evens was a big advocate and invested in a startup called Live Water which also had a big Burning Man presence. A lot of them ended with with chronic diarrhea caused by infections like giardia.
>>110083333You're buying your own portafilter anyway, because none of them come with naked bottom filters. And I've cracked open 3 Gaggias at this point. It's fucking plastic/rubber hosing because it has to be. Metal tubing would be a fucking nightmare when servicing them. The outside's sheet metal, which I'm not sure is better than a plastic shell.
today at engineering wagiework, a guy came into the canteen with a drill in his left hand and a grotty mug in his rightWith his right hand, put his mug on the counter, threw a bag in, poured the kettle then some milkWITH HIS LEFT HAND STIRRED IT WITH THE DIRTY DRILLsaid "good to go" and carried on his way
>>110086588The fact that this type of conversation is even happening right now demonstrates that this machine is just a superfluous countertop appliance that brings more issues, more discussions, and more time-wasting than what it's worth. Get a pour over glass, and a kettle, and some basic bitch filters, dump your coffee grounds into it, and enjoy your coffee without having to worry about fake, chromium plating, and plastic residue going inside of your digestive tract.
