Interesting.

It's below audible range anyways.
You can still feel such low frequencies if the amplitude is high enough and it can be fun feeling it on your chest but I don't think I would ever want that happening to my head from wearing headphones.

Those Superlux AKG clones and the EVO model with original(?) design.
>>

I only found out since OpenAL HRTF occasionally outputs less than 10hz.

Sennheiser HD 560S & 599, whenever one breaks or whatever I always replace with the same pair.

still nothing better than hd600/650/6xx/580 at a reasonable price
maybe DCA aeon open 2 could be decent but planars always have channel matching issues and QC issues and they're kind of heavy

Dewalt noise canceling headphones with built in radio tuner.
>>
Recently replaced my old (and extremely broken due to poor quality hinge clamps) HyperX Cloud 2 gaming headset with a pair of HD600s (mostly because of a similar comfort level on my head)
I definitely notice the improvement in sound, but as an audio noob am still sorta half-paranoid if I made the right call or not. Since I did go from $60 headset to $250 headphones.
To answer the OP question I like these more than my last headphones so probably these?

I'm trying to buy some headphones actually right now.
My big priorities are decent durability because I seem to break headphones a lot, and wireless because my desk area is quite cluttered and I do move around, cook, etc, while listening to stuff. Trying to keep my budget sane. I was looking at either some UGREEN Studio Pro or CMF Headphone Pros, but, I don't know. Any suggestions?
>>
>>110087255
i just love their wide sound stage and how well they are made. i had mine for four years now. only con is that i can't replace their ear pads but i just bought a new pair for when they fail.

>>
>he500
i love these, but built like soviet tank so hurts having it on longer than 30 minutes.
>arya stealth
open, airy, clean, but horribly sibilant and creates pressure in my ear drums cuz of huge drivers and there are no venting in the chassis to alleviate it.
>focal azurys
impressive positioning performance but tiny soundstage, head hurts after a while, made for tiny french people heads.
>fiio ft1
sounds quite fine until you reach the treble and then it goes all over the place.
very comfortable tho, use it on the steam deck often. glasses might fuck with bass.
>660s
nobass and sounds like its behind curtains, but handles junk mastered modern tracks with ease, not sibilant at all. maybe i will eq these in the future
>momentum 5
with glasses these have too hot treble, even listening to podcasts is painful, what is sennheiser doing?
also ANC cancels out a lot of the lower frequencies so some people can feel motion sick.
>xm6
good enough for daily usage, doesnt piss me off.

using Hifiman Arya Stealth for now, can war them for 10+ hrs. Connected to a Fiio K11 (just beacause they have no 3.5mm input). Crusher Evo via bluetooth if i want bass. I have no idea about anything audio related desu. But the hifiman are so comfy. Usecase: Youtube videos and gaming, sometimes VS (i use a rhode poodcaster fro VC). Miss the days where i could just stand up and walk around the house and still keep talking.

I'm still using my Sennheiser HD558 that I bought in 2013 off of a /g/'s recommendation. One of the best tech related purchases I've ever made. I've replaced the cable probably a half dozen times and the earpads once (should have done it many more times but lazy).

>>
Beyerdynamic T1 3rd gen + balanced cable to them + FiiO (or any decent) amp is the best hi-fi sound you can get without going into cable holder territory
>>
>>110099768
oh and they are built like a fucking tank
I am a slob and drop and mishandle cans. All lower gen beyers and everything else I had eventually breaks in some way, but aside from scuffs T1 still feel brand new for 6+ years now
>>
Id want a headset that is wireless, active noise canceling, closed and have 2.4ghz dongle for low latency connection

There surprisingly few out on google ai, and they all cost like 300€
Many brands fuck up the low latency part for whatever reason, or theres no anc. Chinks love selling low cost sets that are just bt and only suitable for listening to music while jogging, but not good for desktop pc use.
>>
>>110099818
razer and audeze are the only brands that make usable wireless headphones. i think razer is cheaper than audeze and they have modern anc and whatever
>>
akg 701s are severely underrated. they punch above even the $2k range

are there headphones that won't make me fucking deaf before 40? or that won't cause me unbearable pain after 1h of use despite not being tight at all due to my autistic hypersensitivities?
I have to resort to earbuds but the deafness concern is still there. Don't know if there's actually good earbuds.

Audeze Maxwell, and AirPods Pro 3 when outside.
Anything else is retarded. Nothing beats this quality/price relationship. Maybe a Bose equivalent on the AirPods, but there's no rival for that price on the Audeze.

I bought some very nice sounding earbuds.
They arrived and I've been walking around with them all day testing them out.
Turns out my ears don't enjoy having earbuds in them (or IEMs) and ANC makes me want to throw up in the same way as motion sickness.
Will give it a few more days but, fuck.

HD650s with a Kimber Kable I've had 10+ years. No real reason to 'upgrade' or switch to anything else.

Sony MDR-7506. I have 2 pairs, because I like them so much. Very durable, very cheap, comfortable to wear and actually sound good. All other headphones I've ever owned have worn out from my constant usage or been uncomfortable, only the pads got destroyed on these so far.
