What does a future with AI look like? is there any good scenario? is it just going to automate everything under the sun? what will all those jobless people do?

It means that 99% of software has become ephemeral. Just vibe something you need up on demand.
Jailbreak a pornographic holodeck and live your best life till you die.
>>110077436Only good scenario and just ask the AI what to do with all your free time.
>>110077436>>110077442This doesn't really appreciate how much the ground is shifting though. We just had it more or less confirmed that decompiling is going to lead to global digital IP communism. That might mean that really complex tech and manufacture is going to be out of reach, as expertise becomes cheap. The tension point then shifts over to regulations and price of raw materials and manufacturing. The only thing that can really stop this is government or corporate regulatory capture, which is very 50 / 50 right now. In the west, the courts is mostly on consumer side. While regulatory side and government is mostly on corporate side. So I would argue there is one dark path and one not so dark. The not so dark, average joe gets more empowered, and becomes much more liberal as he is now brushing up against regulations. Joe wants to disconnect from the system as much as possible, especially as the pension-crisis puts the squeeze on. Meaning, resilience/independence , almost prepping type behavior, which other places poorer places like south east asia (polyculture) simply never forgot. Doubly-so if Western government reigns makes investing less attractive, because they want to make things fairer for labour.Consider that once you got energy, land and rain, you technically have all you need to disconnect. Hardware and automation has never been cheaper. In this scenario, urbanites is gonna get cucked and you already see this trend express itself with homesteaders and vandwellers.Plenty of other considerations. If you get hyper competitiveness on "average" products, then this will eat into high tech as well, because so much RnD is basically protected behind a hug IP moat and lawyer warfare. Consider how Open source is constantly 20 years behind, even without AI and is often kept at bay due to IP.Geopolitically it might cut the Asian upswing to high, but also completely cuck the west since due to manufacturing capacity and regulations.

>>110077436We're in the golden age of AI. Soon everything will get far more expensive when shareholders pull out. Hurry the fuck up and do something with it until they make subscriptions expensive af
>>110077718Aren't local models growing fast, though? I think AI will be largely accessible to most people, but at some point really advanced AI that can produce and assemble huge projects will probably be the stuff that will be out of reach for the average consumer, normally because it would probably require quite a bit of power grid and infrastructure.
>>110077436Yes just 2 more time units
>>110077776Keep coping tran, coders lost
>>110077718In the long run though, these companies want to sell. People say x consequence of AI is inevitable, well selling AI capable products or renting out AI capabilities is going to have inevitable high competition. Unless we see some really crazy maneuvers by government or these companies. There is no single company with fuck-you-ip moat this time, it's already breached. Sure you might get half a decade of worse pricing, but beyond I don't really see how multinational companies are going to fuck us this time. Consider that a "look-up-ai" on like 20 tade-books within a category is basically all you need to get a useful AI.
There is no good scenario. Only possible scales of a bad scenario.
>>110077830Luddites dying is a good scenario though
>>110077436All I know is I wish it would fucking hurry up and happen. I'm bored.
if it were just AI it would be fine. But the complete package with cameras everywhere?

>No technological change in history has ever resulted in increasing long-run unemployment, just industry displacement.>No signs of this happening now.>AI's efficiency impacts on coding are dwarfed by the creation of assemblers, the use of portable languages like C, and possibly even the rise of scripting languages like Python, all of which resulted in more, not fewer, programming jobs.>B-but this time will be different
