Any gaming PC with anything worse than a 5080 will be outdated in 2 years. 5080s are next gen and will last 8 years or longer.

And that phase is going away for various reasons. These are the types who bought all of the demanding movie slop. They created these markets and this demand for ever increasing realism. The others demographics didn't quite give as much of a shit. Not gen x, not zoomers, not alphas, not wamen. There's occasional stuff that's the exception, like GTA or something, but there's probably going to be a lot of changes in the industry over the next 5 years.

Games that require those kind of cards are going to sell like shit by pricing out customers. You have games that look like shit (borderlands 4) while also running like shit at launch. Took them forever to try to fix it and they lost so many sales because of it. Meanwhile fotm pixel shit sells 500k copies that gets split between the few devs that made it in a week.
