POP GOES THE BUBBLE
If you’re short or anti the AI trade, your thesis is literally to bet against some of the smartest people ever who are running the largest and most profitable companies to ever exist.
>>110102260-t Kenneth Lay
>>110102260they're not even liars, they're straight up bullshitters, because they can't keep track of their lies anymore, Musk and all his ilk
>>110102260You mean like Salty Nutella and Zuckerbot?
>>110102260Almost everyone in the AI space is retarded and walking dogshit compared to my majesty.
>>110102260smart people can still make very dumb mistakes.
>>110102260There are few people stupider then "smart" people outside their super narrow intellectual niche.
>>110102260the tech itself is nice and useful i only hate the way ai tech bros trying to force it on everyone.
>>110102260Sam Altman and Dario Amodei are complete retards that know shit about tech
>>110102356>thenIf you can't even use the English language correctly, then you have nothing to offer in a discussion of intelligence.
>government bonds
>>110102260like who?
>>110102575>I had to face the fact that I was useless against your argument and I had nothing to reply>Then I realized you made a typo
>>110102231its 2% dip they do this every couple months to cash in. Your retirement money is picking up the slack because they need to keep the stock high to prevent a real crash.
> S&P is 3% down from ATH
>>110102231Well deserved for systematic racism against Indians
>>110102260He did the meme
>>110102260which ones should I be sure not to short ?
AGI is impossible, AI is now the best it will ever be.
>>110102260HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
ai isnt going anywhere, so i'm not sure why you would want a total stock market collapse as well
>>110102231>case in point, the redditor
>>110104025Nvidia and AMD don't sell AI. They sell hardware.
>>110102260>this time it's different
>>110104046Stock market collapses are good for the market because they help reset prices to appropriate levels—they are a natural consequence of free markets and capitalism.
>>110104080Retard
So, what does the bubble popping mean? Enshittification and higher prices? Or lower prices as they are scraping to sell the subscriptions? AI services going under? What should I do as an AI user to make the most out of it? It feels like the AI companies have begun to push subscriptions harder than before, I'm not sure if I should buy into them or wait. The other possibility is always that after waiting too much, the product just goes away.
>>110104599>free markets and capitalism.2000 and 2008 were both caused by the government though
>>110104631Humans can die both from bullets as well as starvation.
>>110104643why would the government shoot a man before starving him?
>>110104656Government is always less efficient than a private, free market, solution.
>>110104630Mass layoffs. AI will increase in price but still cheaper than a human employee—barely anyone will get a job. 70+% unemployment, people dying on the streets, rioting, and the military deployed to massacre the now economically unviable populace.
>>110104163What kind of hardware, chud? What's it used for?
>>110102260I'm smarter than all of them though
>>110104684i thought this was the 'bubble does not pop' scenario
>>110102260I do this, unironically.
>>110104604Cope, trans
>>110102260>profitableHuh, this guy.
>>110104744Playing videogames
>>110105761There will be no trans with AI. Because we will finally get morphological freedom
>>110102231>all the money is going out of AI tech companies:D>...and going into defense companiesD:
>>110102260>start taking away tech jobs>your bubble popsDon't bite the hand that feeds you.
>>110104630Well, it means AI companies won't have free money to burn anymore. In the short term, they will have to raise prices (which is already happening. Anthropic and OpenAI are giving less and less tokens to users. Google recently announced that even paying costumers won't have access to their advanced models, only those on the highest tiers.) They will also stop building retarded amounts of datacenters all over the USA and won't buy all the RAM and storage.AI research will slow down and will go back to universities, hobbyists and companies like Google because the companies that only sell AI and have no other product (OpenAI, Anthropic) will die due to the burden of their debt. Google and Facebook will likely continue with their AI shit and so will DeepSeek, Mistral and whatever company isn't tied to up to trillions of debt. The big issue is that at this moment AI is the majority of America's markets. All major American companies are tied up to AI companies in one way or another and they've spent billions on that shit expecting a big payout later. AI has been extracting value out of everything, to the point medical researchers can't even get funding unless they add AI to their research. That means that if these companies go under then the entirety of the US stock market will crash and companies will have to lay off thousands of employees to stop bleeding money in the short term. As you have undoubtedly guessed, that would be terrible for everyone not just due to lost jobs, but because it would mean people can't pay their mortage, student loans and personal loans. Right now debt is a bigger market in the USA than it was during 2008 and all sorts of private companies (as well as banks) are over exposed to it.Essentially it would be an economic crash worse than the 2008 one.
>>110106138>companies that only sell AI and have no other product (OpenAI, Anthropic) will die due to the burden of their debtTrump will bail them out.
>>110104684>still cheaper than a human employeeDidn't Jensen say a few months ago that AI will become more expensive than human workers for complex tasks?
>>110106138>stock market will crashnot my problem>companies will have to lay off thousands of employeesnot my company, not even my industry>people can't pay their mortgage and loansnot my loans>banks over-exposed to debtmaybe my bank. i assume they'll be happy to continue taking my money regardless. overall absolute 0/10 nothingburger as per always
here the major problem: ai corps borrowed dozen and dozen of billions of us dollars with gpus as collateral. the value of those gpus is depreciating while those corps aren't showing any profits in sight so now the creditors want more guarantees than gpus but ai corps have nothing else to show.michael burry prediction is happening. this is the second big short.
>>110102575>gets completely btfo>b-b-b-b-but you made a small smelling mistakeDilate harder tranny holy shit your AIzzat slop ponzi scheme is all going to come crashing down soon.
>>110106138>stock market crash means great depressionbabby's first bubble pop. in reality there will be a short recession and then a recovery
>>110102231Saars, what does this mean? I'm devlopper, I can't do without the Claude saar
>>110106434its not going to be short, its going to be 2008 sub prime mortage crisis tier or worse. In fact its going to be a LOT worse considering the amount of money involved is WAY more. Its not going to be a depression but there will be a multi year long deep recession.
>>110106447anthropic and openai are the only big players that rely entirely 100% on ai for revenue.
>>110106467You think Elon and Zuck arent going to be completely fucked too lol? Elon literally tied fucking spaceX to his AI slop by combining the companies.
>>110106481neither of those companies depend on ai investments to stay alive wtf are you talking about
>>110104025total nivida victory
>>110102260> Profitable
Should I learn to code then?
>>110102231Huh saars should we call the investors luddites? Maybe they will come back?
>>110106481Elon is the kind of guy who can and will pump infinite money into his vanity projects, especially now that he has put all his eggs in one basket.Zuck has also demonstrated his tech octopus can survive any monumental fuckup he chooses to overinvest in (remember the Metaverse?)
>>110102260the actual smart people have been betting the bubble will burst, retard
>>110102260>bet against some of the smartest people everEvery day the smartest people ever are buying and selling everything. If you have a 401k chances are you're betting against some of the smartest people ever.
>>110106790what if that was his game all along? prove that he's indestructible?
>>110106299>here the major problem: ai corps borrowed dozen and dozen of billions of us dollars with gpus as collateral. How does that work? Didn't they spent that money on those gpu... that they are retroactively using as a collateral?
>>110107241yes.>i borrow money to buy a car>you repossess my car if i dont pay
>>110102260>profitable
>>110104631No, 2000 and 2008 were the market correcting the error of government.
>>110107241yes, blackrock CEO calls that "the new mortgage". https://finance.yahoo.com/technology/ai/articles/nvidia-ai-chips-now-asset-143502688.html
>>110107241You make it sound like insanity to use as collateral the thing you haven't bought yet but will buy in the future. Well, you're right. But it's also completely normal. For example a mortgage. Oh, it also drives house prices up, saddles retarded people (i.e. the majority of the population) with massive amounts of debt, and burdens governments with something too big to fail? Well too bad, no government is ever going to outlaw it, it makes bankers too much money.
>>110104025>>110104163>The only companies actually seeing profit from this gold rush are the ones selling shovels to the claim jumpersThis is why we pay attention during history class
>>110107321houses don't depreciate like a gpu. last rumors are that nvidia will not release the next generation of gpu before 2028; they may holding on purpose to avoid a deprecation of the current gen that could be terrible for neoclouds (which are a large part of nvidia revenues). the thing is that Huawei is getting more and more competitive and releases a new gpu generation every year now. intel is also starting to get somewhere with their ai solutions; their gpu racks are less powerful but don't require liquid cooling which is more interesting for smaller corps to build an in-home tokens farm.https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/chinas-huawei-launch-two-new-ai-chips-2027-2026-09-17/https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/newsroom/news/artificial-intelligence/intel-accelerates-open-infrastructure-agentic-ai-era.html
Bond yields are so high right now large institutions don't think the equity risk premium is worth it. So they're selling down tech winners and buying treasuries.
>>110107375This is probably ai but if it's an accurate representation, seems like only gigabyte and supermicro know ball. Thanks asrock for two fuckin rj45 switches and seemingly not enough actual switchingAsus is offering a bunch of storage serversMitac is getting it close but why the fuck would you use front facing switches.Msi just photoshopped theirs, they probably don't have shit
>>110106247>maybe my bankoof, gg
>>110107517>Msi just photoshopped theirs, they probably don't have shithttps://eps.msi.com/en/product/barebones/S3061D270RAU3-X4?view-tab=overview
>>110107517All of these are going to fail spectacularly save for supermicro. Not a single one knows how to actually be a ODM where the customer actually expects basic things like support. The place I work at made the mistake of trusting Asus as an ODM and every other bug was complaints about Asus not getting back to them or Asus failing to give them firmware and Asus is no longer a partner.Gigabyte, MSI and to some degree Asrock are all cut from the same shitty cloth of wanting to push garbage and not be accountable for it. It works for gullible gaymers but not anyone else.
