The developers of the AnyPS5 project, which aims to automatically port PlayStation 5 executable files to Linux and Windows, have reached an important development milestone. According to the latest statistics generated by the script with each update of the main repository branch, system library coverage has reached 90.32%. Currently, the project has implemented 3497 functions out of 3872 declared in the system directory. Furthermore, the GPU instruction set is 100.0% covered, covering 1166 instructions of the AMD RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 microarchitectures, including DS, FLAT, GLOBAL, MIMG, SOP, VOP, and other instruction encodings.

The project's accounting rules specify a strict completion criterion for each individual element. An operating system function is considered complete only when it stops calling the underlying stub with a missing implementation error. This total only includes calls already declared in the project's codebase, so the final list grows as new interfaces are discovered. Key environment libraries such as libc and libkernel have already reached 99% and 95% completion, respectively, while auxiliary components such as libSceAmpr and libSceJson2 are 95% and 96% complete. For graphics instructions, the decoder considers a command complete immediately upon its correct recognition.

The first level is playable, from boot to Boletaria (2026-10):

making a non-x86 console would've prevented this
>>
>>110106684
Xbox is x86 too though
>>
>>110106695
no one cares about xbox though, that's the issue
>>
Is the Linux community just gaymers and vibeshitters now? Thank god I switched to BSD.
>>
>>110106711
Vibe-kernel I'm afraid.

We know you are Luddite.

Lmao. Linux is worse than Jeetdows at this point. They are both vibecoded but Windows at least works.
>>
the greatest video game market crash in history is coming
they won't be able to sell new games for even $10, let alone $60 again
>>
>>110106684
not really, it would be harder but not that much harder

Thank christ.
The game industry is extremely Jewish to the core. Burn that mutha fucka to the ground. BURN IT!
>>
>>110107125
it would certainly be slower at runtime
>>
>>110107213
just vibe a Rosetta for PowerPC/ARM -> x86
>>
>>110106791
This. "explorer.exe" might be the most stable piece of software ever. I think I just came in my pants desu.
>>
>>110107125
It would be way slower and have tons of graphical issues, Even if you managed to solve 100% of the translation layers and cisc instruction sets you'd need NASA type of hardware to bruteforce more frames and resolution
>>
>>110107298
>NASA type of hardware
We are vibing in space next.
>>
>>110107329
>We are vibing in space next.
peak software efficiency can't infinitely bruteforce more efficiency with the inevitable timelength it takes to translate instructions
This is also why RSI is impossible and a meme unless you keep feeding SI more hardware
>>
>>110106676
Unfortunately it's currently slow as shit, most big 3D games average ~0.5-3fps.
They're gonna need some serious rounds of optimizations after they 'complete' reverse engineering the libraries.

Use case? The PS5 has the worst exclusive library since the virtual boy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:PlayStation_5-only_games
>>
>>110106695
Name a xbox series X exclusive people actually want to play. I'll wait.
>>
>>110108131
Easier to pirate games from PS5 than recomp PC games.
>>
>>110108131
The entire use case is hoping some discord teenager is sitting on an exploit and getting GTA 6 on PC before it's official release
This is literally the reason I have any interest in the PS5 or this project at all
>>110107472
>They're gonna need some serious rounds of optimizations after they 'complete' reverse engineering the libraries.
The next step will be to just write a JIT / convert as much of it to more native calls

Everything is jewish and gay to the core because company in charge of managing retirement funds of Americans - source of all the investment money is lead by a misogynistic jewish faggot.
>>
>>110110368
But why?
Can't you wait those few months?
Maybe you should work on your patience instead.
>>
It's back to 80%! PS5 CHADS WIN AGAIN! Filthy pirates in shambles!
>>
>>110106684
Yeah because there wouldn't be any games for PlayStation. x86 is what gives PS5 ports parity with Xbox and PC. If the PS4 wasn't x86, it would've been another PS3.
>>
>GTA6 unofficial PC port shortly after console release
>Recomps that actually started becoming good AND mainstream (GOW3 & Bloodborne).
>PS and Premiere AI helped copies that actually work for light editing
What time to be alive. I'm genuinely starting to be excited for tech once again. How long until big companies go anti AI? Like genai assets are shit but...these stuff are actually good....for us...bad for the companies.
>>
>>110110964
gta6 will be playable on pc with a pc port made by rockstar in a few months and ps5 has fuckall exclusives you need the anypiss thing for
>>
>>110110990
It will be half a year minimum but realistically a year. I don't really care about GTA6 unless it's free BUT you have to admit THIS is about GTA6. Like a pirated copy right after release would be the cherry on top and is what most people expect.
>>
>>110110964
The best part of GTA is the solo servers where you can invite just your friends and not have to deal with fuckfaced cheaters.
How you going to do that with a pirated install, faggot?
No one plays GTA for the fucking story.
>>
>>110111975
>No one plays GTA for the fucking story.
GTA 6 isn't even launching with multiplayer kek
>>
>>110111975
People have been adding multiplayer to singleplayer games more and more these years. Yesterday I played bannerlord coop from a mod.
GTA is already built for multiplayer so maybe that would make it simpler.
>>
>>110107298
nasa has dogshit hardware
>>
PS5 on PC and PS5 homebrew moving full speed ahead gives me hope that GTA6 will be playable in an unofficial manner very soon after launch. And tanking GTA6 is the best shot we have of crashing this fake and gay industry.
