I'm vibecoding Rust in light mode on my Mac using Emacs right now. Posting this from my iPhone.

Why do you need emacs if you're just gonna type prompts?
>>110107562I tried Emacs for a little while. One thing I noticed is that it has all the PIM software Linux is missing. It took me a couple years to slowly reimplement that outside Emacs before I quit using it just because of that. I also noticed the default readline motions are the same (this is intentional apparently.) Furthermore if you work for a really big company they all use macs now and the GUI actually lets you use readline motions (so essentially emacs shortcuts) in all the text fields.I'm glad I did it. It's probably the only positive thing that came from my lisp phase.
>>110109964>I also noticed the default readline motions are the same (this is intentional apparently.)this is one of the major reasons I grew to hate vscode so many of their retarded hotkeys override the actually useful ones in the terminal, there's an option to turn it off but it still doesn't fix all of them
