I know I'm using an old monitor with a VGA adapter, I know my laptop doesn't have a proper stand yet, I know I'm using my subpar tablet's keyboard and mouse on a computer, I know I've got a tablet there in my desktop... but man, it feels nice sitting in a chair, and having a desk! My back was killing me, my tablet was nice, but I much prefer it like this, part of the setup, but not the main guy, after the laptop I remembered my parents had an old monitor they didn't use, just had to get the adapter and here it is. Next is the stand, and then a mouse, vertical since I'm curious about those, and a keyboard. The desk doesn't support an arm for the monitor, so I might get those monitor stands/supports, we'll see. The left was a gift from a family member that was built by a carpenter and furniture maker, I removed the top, put on the espresso butcher block and stained the rest to match. The desk on the right is a relatively cheap desk I bought from Amazon and connected them with a couple brackets and screws.L and U desks are crazy expensive for anything nice from what I’ve seen. I’d strongly recommend second hand custom built furniture then refurbishing it and customizing it if possible.

It was a display/floor model that wasn't listed for sale, but I liked it and they didn't have anymore, so I got it for pretty cheap considering it's made of real wood. I'd recommend estate sales, people let furniture go for cheap. Wood is nice because it's both easy to modify and maintain.
