So what tech is left that hasn't been massively rising in prices due to datacenter AI faggotry? Screens? Routers?
>>110120255Good screens have always been priceyRouters have gone through the roof thank to tarrifs, bans and ram increases(routers are literally just small pcs)
>>110120255Uh, cpu coolers are still cheap. Apparently the traditional makers (CoolIT, etc) are in demand with datacenters too, but it hasn't reflected in consumer prices.

>>110120255Solar panels and inverters are cheap. Buy a bunch of cheap bifacial panels and Chinese grid-tie inverters, use the panels as fencing. Electricity prices are going to keep going up no matter what happens with AI.
money.
TVs are INSANELY cheap now, if you want your sportsball slop on a 50 inch tv its a better time than ever for those retards
>>110120255monitors are cheap af.. but that's how they get you to invest in expensive hardware. You want 2k,4k 144hz gaming? buy this cheap monitor and then spend 3k on hardware..
>>110120255I guess chairs stayed the same and some on cheap as they fired employees.
>>110120255 I want to buy a hard drive enclosure and it literally has doubled in price from a few months ago and you can't blame AI for it saying well data centers use hard drives therefore the hard drive enclosure has to cost more it makes no sense they're just increasing prices because they can screw them
>>110120255Everything will increase in price regardless if it's used in AI or not because why wouldn't it? Corpos see people will still pay so why not raise the price of everything
>>110121339Those tech companies selling these parts are getting screwed somewhere in their supply chain too, so they pass it on to you. It's one big clusterfuck.
>>110120255Northern EU here.Honestly, everything not very tied to RAM seems to have gone down or is stable. PSUs, motherboards, pastes.I already got great deals on thermal paste and is stocked up. Motherboards are eh. You might want to actually get a titanium or platinum PSU now. I am probably getting my first one. Some of the prices I have seen actually make them fairly equivalent to your average Corsair gold rated PSUs in bang for buck when including power savings. As for screens, there are so many used screens out there, that if ur happy with 60 hz, than you almost got the same situation as with PC cases. They're basically free. Just get a universal controller board and DIY and you can have as many screen as you want.I'd also keep an eye on aliexpress. Entirety of EU got cucked by corporate lobbying increasing taxes on shipments, which might mean some price fluctation. Seems like a lot of western countries are implementing this so, you might want to go over accessories and buy during november sale.
>>110120927as long as remember to lobotomize ityou ARE disabling the microphone on these products aren't you anon?
>>110120255i got a 2 GB orange pi for like $50. don't have any clue what i'm going to do with it. i just know $50 is nothing for a fully-functioning computer with GPIO pins, ethernet, four USB ports and a slot for an SSD and other miscellaneous ports. a 32-GB microSD card is still $10-$15.
>>110123029At that point, wouldn't just going used laptop/desktop make sense? Fair on the GPIO pins and good for actually buying real tinker stuff. I think you just need one intermediary board for 5-30 freedom bucks to get laptop --> uart communication.
>>110120255radio?
>>110120255fans. older phones. cases I guess. power supplies have no reason to increase in price, they're one of the most common technologies on the planet.keyboards and mice as well. headphones. the only things that jumped in price are RAM/SSD/GPU, latest gen mobos were artificially inflated vs AM4 for example. before the AI bubble.
>>110123029the orange pi was definitely not worth it. i did some research and the orange pi has a history of chinese malware getting injected into its debian releases. alternative operating systems were not available for the model i ordered. when i booted it up and ran sudo apt update, it was stuck using debian snapshots from like 2022. i think the chinese sell these things with the intention of building botnets in residential ip ranges. $50 is too good to be true for a relatively new computer in the age of ai.
