>reboot if it's needed

>get on with my day
Yup, comfy. Sorry to hear you're too autistic to appreciate it. Maybe a locked down tard-proof device like an ipad is more up to your speed.
>>
>>110122351
I love to updoot it feels so refreshing as if my pc was taking a nice shower.
>>
are you retard? that's a rolling release distro. If you don't want many updates, just switch to Debian.

No, my Debian never crashes. But I always get problems when I use an Arch based distro
>>
>>110122486
That's because Arch is total and complete shit.

Thanks for the reminder

I agree this. But still pretty distro for someones
>>
>>110122329
This is why I stayed on Mint. Unironicallly.
>>
>>110122813
It's cool until you have to add 10 third party PPAs just to get up-to-date software.
>>
>>110122329
>never forces you to update
What's your issue?
>>110122392
This, peak comfy.
>>
>>110122329
My wifes laptop has CachyOS. I go to update it every 6 months and every single time pacman chokes on incompatibilities. Usually something to do with expired signatures or something like that. I shouldve given her Fedora, or better yet Windows 10 LTSC
>>
>>110123225
Why not update weekly and avoid any of this from happening
>>
>>110122329
this distro si a fucking meme. i installed it for gaming.

>fish shell
>networking issues
>stupid update system

endavouros is much better. i always thought networking issues were a meme because i've never had an issue on linux before until i used this os.
>>
>>110123118
I use appimages and flatpaks. The only ppa I have is for a Nemo addon...

So you're using an old kernel and mesa?
>>
>>110123529
I only need security fixes and Ubuntu is updating those very frequently. Games I just need a proton and that's about it. I don't even play super recent games so not a real problem. Debian is using an even older kernel that base mint and I don't see people complaining. It just matters that is being patched
>>
>>110123341

EndeavourOS is criminally underrated. I've had issues with Debian-based distros, but never had any issues with this. Everything just werks out of the box. And on /g/ many anons will tell you that running an Arch-based distro is a full-time job.
>>
>>110123529
I forget to say but flatpaks have their own mesa drivers. I'm pretty sure?
>>
>>110122329
more breaking bugs, too.
for example, if I select the German keyboard during installation, the installation will fail. I'll have to use the US keyboard for it to successfully install.

based

lol isn't it made by Germans?
>>
I like seeing all the numbers and shit fly by but LTS is the way to go
>>
>>110123341
>SI
Absolutely rope yourself
>>
>>110122329
Yeah but when windows has an update it boggs the system down and takes forever to update
>>
>>110124748
It's insanely slow. It didn't used to be as bad.
>>
>>110124763
Yeah, Win10 wasn't this bad. Use win11 pro at work and I might as well take a 30 min break everytime there is an update.
>>
>>110122329
updates on windows are some random shit in the black box, setting switches being changed without you knowing, shit reinstalling, boot partition hijacked, and you still have to update your programs manually. meanwhile on cachy or arch you can update all your programs and os at the same time with a single click or simple command in the background and sometimes you even gain like 30mb of space back.
>>
>>110122329
every time i update something breaks
