If AI were to do all the jobs, who will buy the products?
In such a hypothetical, we wouldn't be talking about a new industrial revolution, but the end of capitalism itself (correct me if I'm wrong).

So what would the economic and social system look like in this hypothetical scenario?

If no one is buying, no one can sell. Capitalism dies and everyone is poor, including the rich.

Good question.
People are already chimping out because they can't afford their daily Ubereats anymore. They better invent some riot suppression robot fast

>who will buy the products
your first mistake was misinterpreting "capitalism" as "consumerism"

An infinite treadmill is a good way to keep a mouse occupied no?

Robots powered by AI replace the entire manufacturing economy from mining and refining raw materials to assembly. There are no individual companies. Everything is subsumed into the singular intelligence.

The question is when will the AI get rid of the few humans left at the top or will they even still be human?

Either way we're all gonna die.

So, assume it's not all jobs, just those in the digital real. I don't give a fuck what the mecha bros claim, we're a decade off from robots handling your power lines.

Assume every white collar worker in the world is out of a job. You just tanked your tax base in any country with an income tax. So, how do you make it up to feed people?

You tax the profits on the companies boosting sales from the greatly reduced input costs, along with energy gen, datacenters, etc. as externality tax for putting 1/2 people put of work.

And then you have to do a bunch of unpleasant price controls, immiment domains on properties for rental places, and job works programs to keep people fed and housed at a GREATLY reduced yearly income per worker.

You are going to get UBI. Your job will be to consume product so that we can measure who is making the most profit and thus how much the stock is worth.

QRD on capitalism? Is consumerism a type of or an aspect of capitalism?

AI agents and billionaires, next question

Who is buying McDonalds? And if the answer is no one, who is mitigating this loss to prevent them from doing something about it?
>>
>>110122824
all rent will go up by the exact dollar amount of your UBI
>>
>>110122419
UBI for unemployed people (new permanent underclass)
So basically most people get to live the life of a NEET+ but with less social stigma. They still have money to buy things but they don’t have much money.

Hard fucking labor. Google the jobs program of the 1930s. Shit sucked bro. It was a paycheck though.

ONLY Americans will get UBI, because we'll be producing the new digital oil - tokens, so we will be able to afford it
What eurofags and others are going to do - I don't know and I don't give a fuck but they will probably eat each other for a good while. A fitting end to the continent of culture lmao

A rising horse of SS pensioners will make sure this never happens.
>Uh uh.
Did you vote in your primary, anon? If not, STFU, because they did, and that's why they will elect the gray haired reactionary who says you deserve to starve to death if you don't walk door to door asking for an application.

That's why you are going to downgrade to a pod.

They gave women and black people all our jobs already and you are worried about AI, KyS. They will come up with some stupid reasons again, like before, you have nothing to worry about.

if anon didn't learn about WPA in high school he's probably not from the US and is clueless about how fucking tanked our socioeconomics are

>What eurofags and others are going to do - I don't know
Making bank off of the actual chipfab tech that the entire world is riding on, and that only one single company in the Netherlands has mastered, and effectively has a world monopoly over. We put an export block on that technology and any machine - all of which need servicing and recalibrating every few months - break down within the year. We do that, and the entire US economy, riding on its AI hype-bubble, goes into the shitter overnight.

there will be no products, just services.
you'll get an allowance from the AI companies that have data centres in your city.
you will be comply and be happy.

Obviously the AI buys shit you retard luddite
>>
>>110122996
UBI is the cheese in the mousetrap. It's the excuse for letting the tech oligarchy keep the vast majority of resources and productive power. You get to buy a steak twice a year while they have giga-yachts and private space stations.
