If AI is so good where are the results? Why are Windows and macOS continuing to get more sloppy and bloated? Where are the open source projects that are massively improving? Why do system requirements keep going up? Why aren't there any efficiency gains?

Instead we get inefficient slop like Skate 3 in World of Warcraft, Adobe clones, and Omarchy.

that will never happen even if in the perfect AI world because that space for efficiency is an extra space to use for something else or cut back on efficiency from

it's cuz ai is techdebt factory. it might bring ur product or whatever to like 60-80% but the slop debt will exponentially increase token costs of future changes. So nobody bothers to fix bugs who rely on slopping, it's not economically viable.

Artcraft and LiberNT are your AI results

with current models, you still have to be a competent engineer to not drive your project off a cliff. they hold up for small things, but as soon as it's a medium-large sized project, especially in a real language like c++, ur just fucked if u don't know how to diagnose shit or even describe what the issue is in a prompt.i doubt this will get better any time soon. the amount of people making things increased, but not actual programmers
