would you consider trying freebsd?
>FreeBoobieSuckDick?? :D
I don’t see any usecase for it, so probably not
>>110125164well it would be nice to have a "safe-harbor" so to say if linux gets too pozzed.
obsd is better as a desktop.
>>110125225based game collection ngl
Yeah. I'm even active on the FreeBSD forums.
>>110125148>>110125257>cuck license
>>110125148>>110125225>>110126305Tell us about the setup. What bars are those? Which dock? Is that vim in the xterms?
>>110125148Going from Linux to BSD is like going from Windows to Linux but much, much worse in regards to the software support department. Barely anything fucking works on BSD out of the box compared to Linux, Windows, and MacOS, and to get some of that shit working you have to do a lot of shit that ultimately ends up defeating the purpose of what BSD is for (security and minimalism).
>>110125148FreeBSD is just Linux, but +10 years behind, no hardware support, no software support, same woke Code of Contact, but also cuck license. No games, no drivers, no anything.I will keep using my local fork of Linux kernel (no code of contact), I will not have cuck license. I have everything FreeBSD and OpenBSD has and everything else on top of that.
>>110125148does it even get modern drivers? it's pointless for desktop without them.
>>110125148>>110125469cuck license
>>110130490>Code of Contact
I could never get FreeBSD to have non-shit network performance. BSD nerds just blame it on drivers but if both Mellanox and Intel suck then wtf works?
>>110125148aren't real edited conf things in /usr/local/etc/ ?
did they ever fix bluetooth and wi-fi?
>>110130953yeah by shimming the linux drivers lmao
>>110130786How new you are that you don't know feminist phrase "code of contact"? They use it rather than "code of conduct" (the more common term).
>>110125148we are all waiting for windows 10 recomp
>>110132259i would call that "windows 10 new delhi edition" but windows has been jeetfied since 10 so...
>>110125148Too mainstream.
im stockpiling some BSDs, later on ill get them tried, obviously the runtime must run on every platform out there, so i go from most popular down to less popular.i like that it had a clear instructions about making syscall in the docs, while GNUnix variants were scratched from nolibc headers and now SI does this stuff.
>>110125148Freebsd is not for laymen but I like ghostbsd
>>110125148Maybe in a few years, just moved to guix. I do have pfsense, but that doesn't count.
>>110125148I like FreeBSD but each time I use it I miss Gentoo.
>>110125469> no bluetooth> no hyper-threadingCool story bruh
>>110125148Yes, in fact I'd love to go full on BSD, but the FPGA toolchains don't really run there, I guess.I might try it out again on my x220 tho
