It depends on how much effort you want to put on it. Anima is easy to use, you can use either tags or natural language, and it recognizes a fuckton of styles and characters. Moss isn't as easy to use, you'll need LoRAs for any character that's from anything more obscure than Naruto or any artist that doesn't have an Wikipedia page, but the new regional prompting will give you a higher level of control.

Compare that to local research models like MOSS which were trained on a low quality generic slop dataset shared by other research labs, one that wasn't built with anime or illustration in mind to begin with.

NTA but thats exactly what I was talking about, maybe an artist never even did enough material in color or outside doujins to actually train a proper lora, yet somehow novelai (particularly v5, i really dont see anything in v4.5 local cant do) pulls through. I love the prompt "(artist style), 3D render, CGI", comes out with really interesting results, like youd expect a real sculpture of the artist to come out.

Because attaching an image breaks the illusion. You can't say "SOTA", "premium", "brand new architecture" while attaching a mundane anime pic with nothing that sets it apart.
NAI needs to maintain some sort of "presence" in anime threads, because otherwise local models will dominate the discussion and no one is going to be directed to their business. The hostile spam of just repeating "NAI is the best" is the cheapest way to do that. Repeat it often enough and someone might fall for it.
