Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.
1st rule of /csg/: If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

any reccs for camera gear?
>>
>>110131800
A USB chargeable battery like this one (same model, not this seller):
aliexpress.com/item/1005006758682707.html
Mine works fine and charging it on its own with your phone charger is a game changer when you travel.

UV filters for all your lenses to protect the front coating.

some cheap "neoprene lens pouch" to toss them in your bag worry free.
>>
>>110131900
Sounds nice, not a fan of the micro usb on my camera.
Still wary of chink batteries though.

I already have a camera bag so I'll skip on the rest.
The bag is way too big though, my camera & lens is at an awkward size where it's not small enough for the compact bags, but also much smaller than the average camera bag.

>>

That's neat, was that a flash or a video light?
>>
>>110131931
>Still wary of chink batteries though.
They are fine, actually safer in many cases (Fakitas often have protection, Makitas don't).
I bought an external battery at Lidl and it got taken at Beijing airport because it didn't have the required safety certification.
Just don't buy the shady "TurboFire 10000000000mah" 2$ ones.

>>110131931
>The bag is way too big though
That's why I got these pouches. I get whatever regular bag/backpack fits the gear I take for the moment, often a simple cotton totebag.
>>
>>110131953
Some handheld diving light.
possibly like pic rel
aliexpress.com/item/1005003350372091.html
it looks close to this one but not sure if it's the same. I definitly didn't pay that much for it though.

Or maybe this one which I highly recommend even as a regular torch, if you remember that it willl overheat fast on high intensity if not in water:

I don't have much experience with flashes in general. It works fin I guess?

and the TTartisan and 7Artisans manual primes. They are dirt cheap and surprisingly good.
My favorite is the TTArtisan 10mm, at that focal length you don't even need to focus most of the time

>>

My TTArtisan 35mm f/1.4 is my favorite lens.

A compact ~24mm would make my kit nicely pouch-sized, though I'd want AF at that length.
They do have AF version of some of the lenses, are those any good?

Actually I am seriously considering a compact tripod because there's no way I'm lugging a 2kg aluminum hunk around.
Tripods like pic rel are made for phones but can also hold a camera. No idea if it could hold a >600g camera reliably though, and the build being 80% plastic is a bit concerning.
It's cheap at least.

Any one got details on handheld shower heads?
I might buy one just to see. An all metal one. They've all got filters. I'm not keen on replacing those regularly
The main selling point I'm seeing is high water pressure. Every item has a video that shows a qt asian girl comparing a weak stream compared to their superior water jets
>>
>>110132242
I have a 30mm viltrox with AF. It's very decent optically and the AF works fine but I should I buy one again, I would either go for a optically superior manual (and also cheaper) or get a better way more expensive AF one.

On a side note, Laowa is releasing more AF lenses, keep an eye on them.

>>
>>110137223
the 1c shit was a huge issue because some countries needed your order to be at least $1 for it to go through while other times sellers would straight up not send shit over to the 3rd world countries
>>
>>110137299
Most sellers wouldn't send anything to my first world shithole. I don't think it was location specific as much as them not wanting to give things away.

I won two separate things from the same seller. They sent one. The second one they some how managed to prevent the order from being placed. When I messaged them, they feigned ignorance. I'm jealous of the people who got big ticket items like tablets.

Is this Aneng SL108 soldering iron any good for small repair jobs? The screen died on my Quicko T12 station and I need something to replace it.

I saw that you can replace the screen, but when I had a quick look inside the station there's just a ton of glue holding everything together so I can't be arsed faffing about with that. Plus I've wanted a portable usb c iron for awhile now so I figured I'd upgrade.

Even the $2 irons are decent these days. Sure, there are quality of life upgrades like easily swapped tips and stored temps but the main core of the thing which is heating up a bit of metal to a precise-ish temperature and dumping that heat into a component is a solved issue.

recommendations for active noise cancelling wireless earbuds?
>>
>>110142096
When people think of soldering irons they think of the old tech grandpa used in the 1900s where it's a metal rod wired directly to AC. It heats uncontrollably, it cooks the tip and their PCB, solder doesn't stick because it immediately charred everything. They think they have to handle it like a medieval lightsaber. The average person doesn't know what PID control is unless they have a STEM background.

$2 irons are not good. Those have a basic design and shit tips that will burn out. The decent ones with a proper MCU are about twice the price they should be because nobody knows it's a solved problem. It's probably one of the most overpriced things on /csg/ because of the outdated notions.
>>
Can i get decent wireless keyboard and mice combos with nordic key (ÆØÅ) labels on aliexpress?
>>
>>110142096
I got a $10 Aneng (SL106?) iron awhile back that had a short as fuck cable and didn't securely lock the tips in place, so they could spin during use. A $20? Plusivo iron I was gifted before that stopped heating properly after using it maybe five times. There's still garbage out there, or at the very least poor QC.

So i have a wall mounted pc, and it's has gotten kinda annoying to reach over the screen to turn it on, i know there are corded power on switches for cheap but i really wanted to avoid that, since i got all my peripherals wireless. So i bought one of these wireless power on buttons for pc, it's kinda pricey for just one button switch but it works great and the build quality is nice so it looks good on the table, the receiver has two options for power over pci-e slot or usb ( you need to have always on function turned on for usb obviously) which came handy in my case, since my gpu is vertically mounted and riser cable goes over extra pci-e slots which makes them unusable. also the transmitter is rechargeable over usb c, have yet to see how long the battery lasts, but it's probably going to be ages, since it will be used only 1-2 times a day.

At most I can say the 100W GaN Essager charger and cable I got work as advertised, properly fast charge my phone whereas my 100W Toocki cables don't, and the charger itself stays cool during use (the cable connector gets hot when it's pumping 100W).

So i have a 100v system with one central player in one of my company locations, turns out they need separate music for one of the rooms, so i bought one of these, it works as intended, unfortunately in that room there is only one speaker, and i don't have option of running additional wires or installing extra speakers, so i had to chose either left/or right channel, maybe in the future they will release a model with stereo to mono downmixing option, it runs a 30w speaker fine, the sound quality isn't amazing, but the normies at the location are content, and most importantly it fit the already existing hole without a problem and it looks nice, i installed the player where the 100v wall attenuator was.
