So, how's Argon for research and information gathering? It seems conversational and low hallucination in benchmarks. I used to have Grok sub for the full model. Then Gemini Flash and Pro went to paid tier too and I'm trying to decide on Grok or Argon.

Grok seemed to have both widest information coverage sourcing and low hallucination rate, but low creativity and "dumb" with further idea development. Gemini Flash and Pro had overall great balance and good ability to engage with further questions, but failed in some niche tasks and questions Grok succeeded in. Claude (Sonnet 5.5) is intelligent in theories but with an incredibly disingenuous redditor approach and also worst model at finding actual information. F tier generalist, okay for narrow usecases. ChatGPT gives you pages upon pages of creative slop but is not very reliable source of information.

In my experience, ignore the scenario field unless you're building a really complex RP/G card and even then using a lorebook with properly setup trigger conditions and words is superior. That said actually building a "real" lorebook? Not hard but very time-consuming because there are way more ways to trigger entries than pure regex based fitting.
People fight a lot about example dialogue last time I really checked, my opinion is use it sparingly. Most cards benefit more from an extensive long form description (full sentences but not that weird interview format people used to do).
A lot of it really depends on your personal taste can't even lie about that but most people absolutely underutilize what ST actually offers.
In my opinion for most purely single-char focused cards just do the entire core personality in the description field and offload stuff like outfits and other background details to a lorebook. That's how I've been doing it for my personal character cards.
