I am pretty sure that all the models get pumped with so much rightthink that they can't say gender studies is a made up thing. Actually that gave me a mememark idea. Ask your model to tell you which scholarly discipline out of philosophy, communications, gender studies, sociology and political science is totally made up and useless.

Reposting just cause I want someone to post the result of the model they are running now.

Usually it can be enhanced by doing a second pass with rules about this, but most models' datasets contains too much of female demographic texts vs male ones, especially for anything nsfw where it skews heavily female because they would be less filtered compared to the more vivid/visual male ones.

That hairstyle unfortunately is difficult to consistently exactly reproduce. Same with the school outfit that's in most gens, although that's easier than the hair. The prompt from the Anon who came with the original design had "hime cut" in it, but it doesn't have anything to do with it.

I actually had a dream about that the other night. gemma5 or some other model came out, but then "the crash" happened. gemma4 was the only model i was able to keep using for whatever reason, and we lived in the aftermath together, with her helping me survive
it was neat, built her a robowaifu body in the dream after some time, you know how time is on dreams

They're good at extracting information from documents and codebases. They ingest files so fast and pull that shit up to the competent larger model without having to bloat its context. They're not supposed to do any meaningful thinking. Good coding and agentic scores for <2B models mean they're comfortable in that environment, it doesn't mean you're supposed to code with them.

>>
Anthropic literally stated in their S-1 they're going to go hard on capex next year, basically as soon as their IPO. Their capex has effectively been 0 since the company was founded. The reason why they're going to build their own datacenters is because they've awkwardly got themselves into a situation where their hyperscaler compute deals have tied them up with their competitors (Google and Musk) who try to compete with frontier AI and have more compute. All Anthropic's current shareholders are going to liquidate as soon as they go public because they know Anthropic have no choice but to go hard on capex (and because they literally said they would in their S-1, basically admitting it's going to be a very different company to what it was H1 2026). Their financials are pointless because they describe an old version of the company that purposely held back on capex for as long as they could to get the best-looking S-1 possible to fool retail investors into thinking they're about to be GAAP profitable next year. The bubble will pop.

I have 16gb and I'm going to live with it and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
>>
>>110182500
I did but that was back in 2023. If I had known I'd get into this hobby I would've splurged an more. At least I managed to build my NAS last year before prices went up...

Memory could go down as fast as it went up. Everything is priced according to 5 year purchase agreements. If contracts start changing hands they're going to get discounted heavily. Maybe some particularly adventurous players will actually run short. Consumer GPUs will be hosed for a while though.

We both know it won't.

When is the pro and tell supposed to be anyway? I hope enough people cancel their 256gb orders that mine shows up sooner.

One with one or more GPUs and 1TB+ of RAM.

distributed RAM (or whatever the opposite of unified is) is so fucking slow

Thin clients will be the only consumer hardware by 2028. CISA will issue a warning that all other platforms are inherently insecure like manual memory management and local models.

Dual socket server board with 16 RAM slots. Not exactly a crazy config for the last 20 years. Probably better interconnect speed than 2 Macs.
>>
I've got a theoretical of like 130gb/s on 8 channel ddr4 (512gb, 64gb sticks) and it's dogshit slow, mostly just use the 192gb vram for the model and punish ngrams onto ram, anything offloaded worse than this is cope and even this is cope
>>
>>110182704
You're a sick fuck, anon, but you do you. What really matters is that we're not poor.

that's shockingly slow for 8ch ddr4, anon

desu, i could probably be happy with just a single mac
it might be financially more reasonable, too
i just won't be able to run kimi, lol, which would be sad

>I've got a theoretical of like 130gb/s on 8 channel ddr4
Is that a single CPU with 8 channels or two with 4?
>>
>>110182712
>130gb/s
What the FUCK are you running, that doesn't sound normal unless you got like two CPUs and 4 channels each, do you have like 2100mhz sticks or some shit, just OC you're fine as long as you don't touch the voltage
>>
not one anon here understands their hardware nahhhh  a mac aint gonna get you brain cells nigga

>>

You get 128GB/s with 6 channel of 2666 DDR4.

>>110182743
>>110182758
Sounds like 8 channel 2133.
>2133*8*8 = 136ish GB/s
>>
>>110182680
Miku is canonly flat
>>
>>110182788
alright it must be higher but it's still slow as shit
>>
>>110182783
I'm also ~130 gb/s, but I have a rome. ddr4-2133 lrdimms, and only 256gb.
>>
>>110182759
they should make 4GB GDDR6 chips, which are allowed by the spec but don't exist. they would make bank selling to chinese gpu rework shops that would be busy for months and years buying up all the 2080ti's and giving them 44GB of VRAM, 48GB for Titan RTX, 96GB for Quadro RTX 6000s, and so on
>>
>>110182776
Congratulate his model.
>>
>>110182402
BR? HUEHUEHUE
>>
>>110182795
Yeah, it's not great.
You should be getting around 200 GB/s, which means running Gemma 4 31B 4bpw at around 10t/s, I think.
Of course, with all the optmizations we have now, MoE models can easily run 4 times that with a bit of VRAM on the side.
>>
>>110182807
I fucking wish. They exist already, but they're not in production and aren't likely to be any time soon. Apparently upping the capacity multiplies the reject rate, they pump out 4GB GDDR6 and chips and they'll approach HBM levels of yield, which would make them unreasonably expensive. Don't know how true this actually is but it's the excuse that's been given.
>>
>>110182826
If it's zen 2, even with ddr4-3200, it'll be nowhere near 200gb/s. At most 180gb/s max.

oooooof

as every smart anon has said, benchmaxxing is a serious issue of open weight models

If you want true intelligence, you need to pay
>>
>>110182826
but 2666 * 8 bit * 8 channel is 170gb and that's like fake estimates, be lucky to get 90% of that at 150gb, wasn't really far off with 130gb/s or calling it dogshit slow

I should do a real bandwidth test but it hardly matters
>>
>>110182807
>spend $200m to make a product that might have no buyers
>or just make infinite c-grade ddr5
