They're only doing this with public messages in public servers, no? This sounds like a good thing to me, I've been in various Discords for things like open-source projects and their tech support channels are constantly, constantly filled with the same kinds of questions over and over and over, because there's no proper searchability or discoverability on previous Discord messages. Back in the day such projects might've had a forum which was properly searchable both from within and from search engines, I think it's good if public messages in Discord become searchable too. A lot of information should be much easier to find without going in some godforsaken server and once again asking the same questions yourself.
